The following vehicles will be recalled with effect today.

1. Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd

The recall recalls a total of 5,034 imported S-Class vehicles with production dates between June 21, 2021 and November 8, 2021.

2. Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd

The recall of some domestically produced C-class vehicles from December 9, 2020 to November 29, 2021, totaling 25,773 units.

Due to the software problem of the communication module control unit, the vehicles within the scope of this recall may cause the voice connection to not be established during the emergency call or the emergency call function cannot be used, resulting in the delay of the relevant rescue and the existence of safety risks.

Mercedes-Benz (China) Automobile Sales Co., Ltd. and Beijing Benz Automobile Co., Ltd. will upgrade the communication module software for the vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge through the vehicle remote upgrade (OTA) technology, and the user can eliminate the safety hazard without going to the store; for the vehicle that cannot be recalled through the vehicle remote upgrade (OTA) technology, the relevant users will be contacted through the Mercedes-Benz authorized service center to upgrade the communication module software for the vehicle free of charge to eliminate the safety hazard.

Recalls some imported Kia Jawa cars

Effective March 18, 2022, the recall of some imported Kia Ka Wah vehicles manufactured between October 10, 2016 and February 27, 2018, for a total of 1,090 vehicles.

In the event of vibration or impact of some vehicles within the scope of this recall, the airbag control module (ACU) housing and the internal memory may interfere, and long-term interference will cause memory damage, airbag warning lights to light up, resulting in vehicle collisions In the event of a collision, the airbag may not be able to unfold normally, and there is a safety hazard.

Recall of some domestic and imported vehicles

1. BMW Brilliance Automotive Co., Ltd

The Company recalled six BMW Series 3 Series and X3 vehicles with automatic transmission defects from December 25, 2019 to October 12, 2021.

2. BMW (China) Auto Trading Co., Ltd

The Company expanded the recall of 37 imported BMW Series 2, 3 Series, 5 Series, 6 Series, X3, X5, and X6 vehicles with airbag defects manufactured from November 5, 2013 to August 25, 2017.

Due to a production error in the vehicles within the scope of this recall (1), the bolts in the mechatronic control system assembly of the automatic transmission were not installed correctly. Over time, it may lead to internal failure of the gearbox, the gearbox is switched to emergency mode, resulting in the interruption of power during the vehicle's driving; it may also lead to the failure of the transmission parking lock, which in extreme cases causes the vehicle to slip during driving, and there is a safety hazard.

The driver's front airbag of the vehicle within the scope of this recall (2) is equipped with a gas generator containing ammonium nitrate produced by Takata Corporation, and its gas generator is not perfect in terms of moisture resistance, and the gas generator may deteriorate under the influence of repeated changes in temperature and humidity. When the airbag is deployed, the gas generator may be abnormally damaged, causing debris to fly out and injuring the people in the car, which is a safety hazard.

For vehicles within the scope of the recall (1), BMW Brilliance Automobile Co., Ltd. will replace the automatic transmission mechanical and electronic control system assembly free of charge for the vehicles within the scope of the recall to eliminate safety hazards.

For vehicles within the scope of the recall (2), BMW (China) Automobile Trading Co., Ltd. will replace the modified driver front airbags free of charge for the vehicles covered by the recall to eliminate the safety hazard.

Harley-Davidson (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd

Recall of some imported motorcycles

Effective immediately, a total of 584 Imported PAN AMERICA 1250 SPECIAL Harley-Davidson motorcycles manufactured between May 13, 2021 and October 12, 2021 will be recalled.

The internal thread of the passenger seat hand grip (which connects to the base mounting position) of vehicles covered by this recall is defective, resulting in the handle being easily pulled out of the seat base. When passengers use the hand handlebars while the vehicle is driving, it may increase the risk of injury and pose a safety hazard.

Harley-Davidson (Shanghai) Trading Co., Ltd. will replace the improved passenger seat grip for vehicles covered by the recall free of charge and install it with the correct installer to eliminate safety hazards.

Recall of some imported K1600 series motorcycles

BMW (China) Automotive Trading Co., Ltd. recalls some imported K1600 series motorcycles

Effective April 29, 2022, a total of 573 imported BMW K1600 Bagger, K1600 GT, K1600 GTL motorcycles manufactured between August 30, 2018 and December 18, 2019 will be recalled.

The articulated tie rod at the rear shock absorber of some vehicles covered by this recall does not meet the designed strength standards and may break as the use time increases. After the articulation lever is broken, the rear part of the motorcycle will sink, causing the rear wheel to rub against the fender, resulting in a braking effect, reducing the stability of the motorcycle, and there is a safety hazard.

BMW (China) Automotive Trading Co., Ltd. will replace qualified articulated tie rods free of charge for vehicles covered by the recall to eliminate safety hazards.
