Li Keyan's character paintings are dynamic and subtle, the image is exaggerated but not ugly, simple but not clumsy, full of witty, witty and humorous.
Li Kejian's cattle painting is a must, full of interest in life, or walking, or lying down, or frozen in the water; on the back of the cow, the childish shepherd boy is leisurely and self-reliant, or watching the mountains, or leading the way, or racing, a few strokes, it outlines a simple and vibrant pastoral scene.

Title: Man in the 10,000-dot plum blossom. This figure is in the Suzhou Humble Administrator's Garden of Wuxi Plum Garden. The painting was completed, and my friend Yuezhi's comrade was happy to see it, because of the chanting cloud: Sprinkling rouge is still too thin, leaving a fragrant drunken Wucheng. That is, calligraphy and painting, and with it as a gift, talk about Bo Yuezheng. Two days after the National Day in 1961, the time was on the shores of the Bohai Sea. Dyeable and memorable.
Li Ke dyes part of "Man in ten thousand plum blossoms"
This work is the creation of Li Keyan after traveling to the north and south of the great river and constantly sketching and accumulating materials. The painter skillfully transplanted the red plums in full bloom in wuxi plum garden into the Humble Administrator's Garden in Suzhou. The curved plum branches are outlined with thick ink, and the bright plum blossoms are made of cinnabar dots, like stars filling the picture.
A blank space is left in the upper left corner of the painting frame, and the long and short paintings are written in line books, and the combination of calligraphy and painting is rich in formal beauty. Li Kejian's paintings often painted repeatedly for the same content or similar compositions until the landscape was fully reflected, as did the paintings that expressed the red plum.
Compared with Li Keyan's "Wuxi Plum Garden" created in 1956, this painting "People in Ten Thousand Plum Blossoms" can better reflect the painter's artistic proposition of "picking one refinement and refining ten" in the 60s. The painter omits the details that have nothing to do with the grand purpose, and no longer adheres to the absolute realism, but integrates the scenery of different spaces into one, and recombines them according to the image generated in the mind, so as to be more artistically beautiful and interesting in the expression of the picture.
