According to the new car traffic insurance data, SAIC-GM Chevrolet sales in January 2022 were 24,470 units, down 24.18% year-on-year and 3.82% month-on-month (two consecutive months of month-on-month growth). Of these, the main coupe Cruze sold 14,127 units, more than double that of rival golf. Another compact entry-level sedan, the Kowartz, sold 1,339 units, up 84.44% month-on-month.
In terms of large vehicles, the start was tortuous, with the cost-effective mid-level flagship sedan Mai Ruibao XL sales of 4,447 units, down 30.72% year-on-year and down 9.8% month-on-month; mid-size SUV Explorer sales were 3,183 units, down 25.42% year-on-year and 15.68% month-on-month.
