Maserati is finally going to get a new car again, and the wait is really too long.
The benchmark Porsche Macan's new SUV model will meet consumers around the world on March 22, this is the Maserati Grecale. The first is the technology platform. The car is a sibling model of the same platform as Alfa Romeo's Stelvio SUV, which Alfa Romeo calls the Giorgio platform, and the first model is the Giulia. However, Master Horn learned that Alfa Romeo has abandoned the follow-up development of the Giorgio platform and will use the new STLA large architecture of the Stellantis Group to develop new cars in the future, as will Maserati. The second is design. As a model of the same platform, the shadow of Alfa Romeo Stelvio can indeed be found from the shape of the Maserati Grecale. So, in order to make the new car different, Maserati stuffed a 3.0T twin-turbo V6 engine for this one. That's right, it's the Poseidon engine on the MC20, with a maximum output of 630 horsepower, which is much higher than the 2.9T twin-turbo V6 540 horsepower of the four-leaf clover Stelvio.
In the future, Maserati will also launch an all-electric version of the Grecale, which will be developed based on one of the four new pure electric platforms launched by the Stellantis Group in July this year. It is expected that the mileage of a single charge will exceed 640 kilometers.
