Mr. Wu Weidong was born in 1970 in Jintan City, Jiangsu Province, graduated from the China Academy of Art in 1999 majoring in calligraphy, and is now a member of the Chinese Calligraphers Association, a specially appointed calligrapher of the Jiangsu Provincial Academy of Chinese Painting, a director of the Changzhou Calligraphers Association, and a full-time calligrapher of the Jintan Calligraphy and Painting Institute.

When Mr. Wu Weidong entered the China Academy of Fine Arts in 1997, he had been studying calligraphy for more than ten years, and he could memorize the "rice characters" one by one; learning "Huang Tingjian" for more than a month, that is, he could create in his style; learning "Wang Duo" for two weeks was effective, but his personal style was not strong.

Mr. Wu Weidong especially loves cursive writing, which contains Duanxiu in his vigor, does not lose composure in the flow, but is involved in the looseness, which makes it difficult to imagine the families of Huang Tingjian, Zhu Zhishan, Wang Duo, and He Shaoji.
Mr. Wu Weidong's calligraphy has a solid foundation, and the combination of Wei Jin Xiaokai and Tang people's style of writing scriptures is particularly obvious. His cursive writing, combined with several major cursive styles, is more rooted in Zhang Xu's wind. Of course, the style of large grasses such as Huai Su and Huang Tingjian is also extremely strong!
Kung Fu pays off! Mr. Wu Weidong's calligraphy works have won awards and been exhibited more than 20 times in various national exhibitions. In 2006, he was included in the five national exhibitions sponsored by the Chinese Calligraphers Association, winning awards, becoming one of the "Grand Slam" calligraphers of the Jiangsu Provincial National Exhibition, and twice won the Chinese Calligraphy Lanting Award.
