The 10.3-inch display at the top of the dashboard supports Amazon Alexa, wireless CarPlay, and Android Auto over an Android-based 4G network. Other features include adaptive cruise control, emergency braking, blind spot warning and 360-degree camera, as well as driver assistance systems (ADAS).

Tonale shares the platform with Jeep Guides. Depending on the sales area, the powertrain is equipped with 1.5L and 2.0L gasoline turbocharged engines, 1.6L turbo diesel engines, and 1.3L plug-in hybrid (PHEV) engines.

It is equipped with a 48V mild hybrid system with a miniaturized 1.5-liter turbo gasoline in the European market, with a maximum output of 130 and 160 hp, respectively.

The 1.6-litre diesel produces 130 hp and is equipped with a six-speed dual-clutch transmission. Alfa Romeo's first plug-in hybrid uses a combination of 1.3 liters of gasoline and a 15.5 kWh battery to produce a total system output of 275 horsepower.

In terms of transmission, depending on the configuration, it is matched with 6-speed automatic or 7-speed dual-clutch, and four-wheel drive can be selected on the basis of front-wheel drive. The charging time is 2 hours and 30 minutes, based on a 7.4kW slow charge, and it is said that it can travel about 60km when fully charged.

Alfa Romeo will begin ordering Tonale in Europe in the first quarter. Full delivery is scheduled for June, with vehicles priced at around €30,000 for the starter petrol model and €50,000 for plug-in models.
