What exactly is an EDR device?

Why install EDR?

This device, commonly known as the car black box, is triggered when the vehicle collides or the speed changes drastically, and the recording begins.

Cao Guangping, an independent researcher on new energy vehicles, introduced that the driver's behavior of stepping on the brake pedal in the accident, EDR will save the brake signal from how many milliamperes to how many milliamperes, including deceleration, finally stop, the whole process will be recorded.

Industry insiders believe that the cost of EDR is relatively low, the concept of 300 to 500 yuan, manufacturers can overcome this impact, will not increase the cost of consumer car purchase.
