The National Standard No. 2 amendment to the "Technical Conditions for the Safety of Motor Vehicle Operation" stipulates that from January 1 this year, newly produced passenger cars in China should be equipped with "EDR" that meets the requirements. Cui Dongshu, secretary general of the China Passenger Car Association, introduced that the large-scale equipping of new cars with EDR will not cause price increases.
