According to the report, GAC Group produced 218,600 vehicles in January, an increase of 14% year-on-year; sold 237,200 vehicles, an increase of 9.2%; and terminal sales of 229,000 units, an increase of 10.7% year-on-year.
The Camry series topped GAC Group's january model sales list
In GAC Group's production and sales data in January, the performance of new energy models was particularly eye-catching: 17,294 new energy models were produced in January, an increase of 96.08% year-on-year, and 19,121 new energy models were sold in January, an increase of 115.21% year-on-year. The reasons for the doubling of sales include the centralized delivery of orders due to chip shortages in January 2021, and the increasing recognition of consumers' own brand new energy products.

In terms of brands, GAC Aeon produced 14,601 vehicles in January, up 98.7% year-on-year, and sold 16,031 vehicles, up 117.9% year-on-year and 10.6% month-on-month. GAC Trumpchi produced 32,212 units in January, up 2.8% year-on-year, sales reached 36,564 units, up 6.3% y/y and 13.7% month-on-month, and terminal sales of 39,963 units, up 18.5% year-on-year. Guangqi Honda produced 75,332 vehicles, up 19.0% year-on-year, and sold 78,489 vehicles, up 1.1% year-on-year. GAC Toyota produced 90,938 vehicles in January, up 14.0% year-on-year, and sold 99,900 units, up 11.3% year-on-year, with monthly sales exceeding 99,000 units, setting a new monthly sales record.
Binzhi ranked among the top three models sold by GAC Group in January
In terms of model performance, a total of eight products of the GAC Group achieved sales of over 10,000 units in January, including 28,023 units of the GAC Toyota Camry series, 19,581 units of the GAC Toyota Ralink series, 18,395 units of the GAC Honda Binzhi series, 17,601 units of the GAC Honda Accord series, 17,483 units of the GAC Toyota Willanda series, 13,523 units of the GAC Trumpchi GS4 series, and 13,189 units of the GAC Toyota Highlander series Guangqi Honda Haoying series sold 11,579 units.
