Wu Meng, a college broadcast hosting major, has loved sports since she was a child, and after going to college, she was fascinated by figure skating, when she took a bus for more than an hour every weekend to skate, and did not return to school until nearly ten o'clock in the evening.

"Before 2012, only Baolong Square in Zhengzhou had a large ice rink, and later with the opening of the MixC and David City Ice Rinks in Zhengzhou, coupled with the fact that the mainland has been applying for the Winter Olympics, the atmosphere of ice projects is strong, and more and more citizens have begun to contact this elegant sport." Looking back on those years, Wu Meng sighed and said, "At that time, the Zhengzhou figure skating coaching team had a lot of loss, and I felt that first of all, more people should be allowed to experience on the ice, in order to drive more people to participate in this project, so that elegant figure skating projects can fly into the homes of ordinary people." The video of the Zhengzhou Ice Rink at the Winter Olympics is enough to show the enthusiasm of the citizens for ice and snow sports. ”

Her love for figure skating and the blessing of the broadcasting profession put Wu Meng on the road of understanding and speaking, and after she participated in five sets of CCTV's "Talking about the Olympics Together" program in college, she got the opportunity to explain the Figure Skating Event of the Winter Olympics in Beijing.

"When I was in school, I especially liked CCTV's figure skating commentator Chen Ying, whose language was beautiful and artistic, and she could always perfectly present the characteristics and performances of athletes, which made people feel immersed." Wu Meng told reporters that at that time, she watched a movie "Ice Princess", was touched by the heroine's love for figure skating, and began to insist on practicing.

She calls her commentary "nagging", hoping to create a relaxed chat room style where guests and viewers can participate in discussions in a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

At present, Wu Meng has participated in the commentary of two games, although he is slightly nervous, he is still relatively satisfied with his performance and is preparing for the third commentary.

In Wu Meng's view, figure skating, known as "ice ballet", has very high requirements for physical coordination, flexibility and strength, and athletes must also have certain cultural literacy. Asian players are better at interpreting traditional culture and artistic aesthetics, European and American players are good at performing jazz, and Russian players are more suitable for classical music. For example, her favorite Yusheng knot is to slip out of her own style, and she can fully immerse herself in the role when performing, so that the audience forgets to watch the technical movements.

"In addition, figure skating can also choose your favorite music, characters, design scenes, full of a strong artistic atmosphere, is a kind of beauty enjoyment." Wu Meng told reporters.

At the Winter Olympics, Gu Ailing, Wang Meng and other fire all over the world, in their own way to show the charm of sports and sportsmanship, Wu Meng is also their fans, she said: "The fire is right, only athletes are on fire, in order to let more people join the sports army and participate in various projects." ”
