It is reported that the establishment of a workstation for volunteer supervisors is one of the important measures taken by the Forestry and Park Bureau to conscientiously absorb the suggestions of supervisors and change the style of work. After the completion of the workstation, it will build a bridge of communication for the volunteer supervisors and the citizens, build a platform for benign interaction between the two sides, so that the supervisors can better listen to the voices of citizens and tourists, and timely feedback to the forest garden department, so that it can give full play to the link and supervision role, and further broaden the channels for the forest garden system to collect public opinions, which is conducive to the municipal and district forestry and garden departments to actively discover problems, improve them in a targeted manner, and continuously improve the management and service level of industry construction.
Meng Hao, a representative of the volunteer supervisors, said that in December 2021, he proposed to build a supervisor liaison station in the downtown park to facilitate the supervisors to contact the public and listen to opinions, and timely feedback to the forest park department. "I didn't expect this recommendation to be implemented so quickly! It is only more than 20 days, including the Spring Festival holiday. Meng Hao said.
Yang Zhongyi, a representative of the volunteer supervisor, believes that the volunteer supervisor workstation broadens the channels for the forest garden system to collect public opinions, which is conducive to the municipal and district forestry departments taking the initiative to discover problems. "We have a contact group, and when dealing with the park green space on a daily basis, some problems found, such as where there are indecent graffiti, damage to surrounding facilities, etc., will be feedback in the group and will be responded to quickly."
Cai Sheng, director of the Guangzhou Forestry and Garden Bureau, said that he hopes that the workstation will allow volunteer supervisors to better listen to the voices of citizens and tourists, and continuously improve the management and service level of industry construction. "Our 180 volunteer supervisors, from different regional sectors, on the one hand, help us to find problems in a timely manner and improve them in a targeted manner; on the other hand, they also help us listen to the voices of the masses, so that forestry and garden work is people-oriented, can be more grounded, conform to the will of the people, and warm the hearts of the people."
Cai Sheng also expressed the hope that the supervisors will use the workstation to help the local forestry department find problems, listen to public opinion, publicize the relevant policies and knowledge of forestry gardens to the public, and stimulate the enthusiasm of the public to participate in the construction and protection of forestry gardens.
