A few months ago, the suspected Brabus 1300R road test first appeared in the public eye, which also sparked two big speculations at the time, one said Huswana and the other said Brabus. A few days ago, the author also released a set of relatively vague renderings, and today this answer is officially hammered, and the high-definition map of Brabus 1300R is officially exposed.
The official debut of the Brabus 1300R was almost the same as the road test at the time, only to be retouched in some details. The car is the product of KTM's partnership with German tuning company Brabus and is based on the top-of-the-line model of the 1290 Super Duke EVO.
According to the preview information, Brabus 1300R will be released on February 11, and it is no one else who leaked this news, it is KTM's official homepage, although these pages were quickly deleted, but many foreign media kept the pictures and made reports.
Those who are familiar with cars must know Brabus, a high-performance car modification brand known for modifying Mercedes-Benz cars.
Babos wants to enter the motorcycle field with the 1300R, which adds many handmade parts to the KTM 1290 Super Duke EVO, as well as nine-spoke forged wheels.
New carbon fiber air intakes and round headlights give the KTM 1290 Super Duke a new look, but the front of the Brabus 1300R looks a bit like a Ducati Dimension. In addition to the air intakes, Brabus also equipped the 1300 R with a headlamp shade and taillights made of all-carbon fiber. Carbon fiber is also used, but the capacity of the tank remains the same.
Although the Brabus 1300R swapped the KTM's orange to black, the frame is the same as the Super Duke and the lightweight composite subframe is similar, brabus has a thicker custom heated seat, and the thicker seat also raises the seat height, which is 10mm higher than the Super Duke EVO's 835mm seat cushion.
The Brabus 1300R features a similar adjustable handlebar to the Super Duke EVO, but it comes with a new CNC fully adjustable handlepad mirror. While the switchgear remains the same, including a 5-inch full-color TFT meter.
The electronic configuration is similar to that available on the Super Duke EVO, with five riding modes, each offering different levels of throttle control, traction control, stability control, engine slip adjustment and anti-warp features. Quick shifters and cruise control are also standard, including the Supermoto ABS.
In terms of hardware, the Brabus 1300R is equipped with a WP APEX 48 fork with electronically controlled damping, and the WP APEX rear shock is also electronically adjustable. Stylema four-piston monocoque calipers are also available, and the front brakes are also equipped with a carbon fiber cooling duct, similar to the design on the Super Duke RR.
The engine appears to have changed, with a V-twin engine with a displacement of 1301cc having a maximum horsepower of 180hp, only the style of the exhaust pipes has changed, and a matte black ceramic-coated double-out silencer designed to optimize back pressure. The KTM Brabus 1300R will be available in Magma Red or Dark Night Black, producing just 77 units per color, in homage to Brabus, founded in 1977.
