Jiang Zhinan, mongolian, born in 1963 in Chengde, Hebei Province, is an associate professor at the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, the deputy secretary-general of the Watercolor Art Committee of the China Artists Association, and the deputy director of the Beijing Watercolor Art Committee.

True artists should first face life sincerely, have feelings, and use their own painting language to express their true love for life, life, and nature. In the past, we overemphasized 'going deep into life' to oppose 'going to the flowers', but too much emphasis on 'going deep into life', we would ignore the intuitive artistic feelings and vivid formal beauty brought about by 'going to the flowers' in artistic creation. "Walking around and watching flowers" will enable us to always see and discover everything in the world in a fresh visual entertainment. Modern means of transportation has broadened our horizons, expanded the space for viewing, the advent of the digital age and drone shooting, let us enjoy high-tech image collection, all of which has created a sense of freshness and excitement of "walking around the flowers", and makes timely and accurate recording, aftertaste and reflection become so calm. We can't help but lament how fortunate people who work in art today are. The characteristics of the era of "walking horses and flowers" can better train our vision, improve our artistic accomplishment and aesthetic perspective. However, Jiang Zhinan believes that "walking around and looking at flowers" should be done well in advance, and opposes pure "walking and looking at flowers."
