Beijing, 13 Apr (Xinhua) -- On April 13, the inauguration ceremony of the Olympic Art Research Center of Tsinghua University and the opening ceremony of the "Co-nurturing the Future - Olympic Science and Technology Art Exhibition" were held at the Art Museum of Tsinghua University.
On April 8th, the summary and commendation conference of the Beijing Winter Olympic and Paralympic Games was held grandly, and the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University won the title of "Outstanding Contribution Collective".
From the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games to the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics, the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University undertook a large number of Olympic-related design tasks and achieved remarkable results. With the consent of the International Olympic Committee and the Chinese Olympic Committee, the Olympic Art Research Center of Tsinghua University was established. It is also the first research and educational institution in the field of Olympic studies at the International Olympic Committee to focus on art research.
With the theme of "Co-nurturing the Future", this exhibition unfolds from the perspectives of sports, art, education, science and technology, brings together the works related to the Winter Olympics by more than ten teachers of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, integrates science and technology, sports and art into the diversified expression of international Olympic languages, shows the magnificent culture of the Chinese nation to the world, spreads the Chinese spirit, Chinese values, and Chinese strength, and conveys the Olympic spirit and harmonious morality in a broader dimension. In the exhibition presentation, by creating an immersive interactive experience of the image space, the multi-dimensional presentation of the cultural connotation of olympic "power and beauty" is presented, so that the audience can perceive the Olympic spirit through science and technology and art, and pursue the Olympic road.
