Returning after 13 years Hyundai motor will sell the IONIQ 5 and Nexo in the Japanese market

Recently, Hyundai Motor said in a briefing in Tokyo on Monday that the company will start selling the Ioniq 5 electric vehicle and fuel cell vehicle Nexo in Japan this year. Shigeaki Kato, general manager of Hyundai Motor Japan, said at the press conference that it plans to accept online orders from May.

Previously, Hyundai Motor entered the Japanese market in 2001, but due to unsatisfactory performance, the group stopped most of its business in Japan in 2009, retaining only commercial vehicle businesses such as buses. This will be Hyundai's second entry into the Japanese passenger car market in 13 years.
