At 16:15 on February 1, the command center of the Liaoyang Fire Rescue Detachment received an alarm that someone was trapped on a hill near the tailings dam in The Changling District of Bow Changling District and was in urgent need of rescue. After receiving the alarm, the command center immediately dispatched 1 rescue fire truck from the Leifeng Street Fire Station in the jurisdiction, and 8 fire rescue personnel rushed to the scene. Firefighters have been in contact with the police by phone and have determined the location of the injured through WeChat sharing locations.

At 16:40, the rescue force arrived at the foot of the mountain, due to the large slope of the mountain road, coupled with the snow on the road, the fire truck could not move forward, the rescue personnel could only carry rescue equipment on foot, and at 17:40, they arrived at the location where the trapped people were. The scene is a middle-aged couple, after praying for blessings on the first day of the New Year, they accidentally fell into the cliff on the way down the mountain, the woman had multiple abrasions on her body, her arm was seriously injured, and she made moans from time to time, the specific internal injuries were unknown, and the man was slightly scratched. After investigation, the trapped location is about 200 meters away from the top of the mountain, and the temperature on the mountain has dropped sharply. A group of firefighters set up a rope fixing point in front, and after another group of firefighters tied a rescue belt for the trapped person, the woman's body collapsed and could not move forward on its own, and the firefighters immediately picked up the woman and continued to go up the mountain.

After nearly 2 hours of intense rescue, the two were finally successfully transferred to a safe area, and the woman was sent to the hospital for further treatment.
