I calculated that according to my itinerary, if I drive a fuel car, it may save about 1 hour compared to driving an electric car, because refueling takes less time than charging. My trip is basically a highway. My new energy vehicle was purchased in November 2020 and is pure electric. Until then, I had been driving a fuel car.

My hometown Yunmeng, my wife works in Beijing, and before I came to Beijing, I used to take a plane. This is the first long-distance self-drive back to Beijing for the Chinese New Year.

I set off on January 25 with a full electric power, this trip was by me, and the trunk of the car was full of all kinds of Hubei special New Year goods.

I queried the charging piles along the way on a number of new energy charging APPS and navigation apps, and after the query, I planned two charging methods. The first is to charge with the brand's self-built supercharger station, the advantage is that the charging speed is fast, but there is no super charging station on the highway, and you can only charge at high speed along the way. The second is to use third-party charging piles to charge, although the compatibility and charging speed are not as good as the brand's self-built charging piles, but the service area along the highway basically has third-party charging piles. After weighing it, I chose the second one.

On the highway, my mobile phone APP will remind me at any time what charging piles will be in front of me, how the charging queue is, etc.

The higher the speed of the electric car, the more power-consuming, the whole process of turning on the air conditioner is also more power-consuming, along the way, I stopped in 10 service areas, charged in 6 service areas, charging time 6 hours.
