Hongqi E-HS9 sales were even higher than all gasoline vehicles norway new car sales in January

Recently, the Nordic country of Norway announced the sales of new cars nationwide in January. As one of the countries with the highest proportion of new energy vehicles in the world, the registration of electric vehicles in Norway has also attracted the attention of many people. In January, Norway registered a total of 7,957 new cars, down nearly 23 percent year-on-year and the lowest level since 2009. Among all new vehicles, the number of new energy vehicles registered was 7199 units, down 13.6% year-on-year, but the market share increased to 90.5%.

Red Flag E-HS9

In the new energy model, its proportion has also undergone some changes. Among them, the number of pure electric models registered reached 6660 units, an increase of 22%, while the number of hybrid models experienced a plunge of 81.3%, only 539 units, with a market share of only 6.8%, mainly due to the reduction of Tax incentives for hybrid vehicles in Norway. The country wants to switch to 100% zero-emission vehicles by 2025, so incentives for electric vehicles remain unchanged, including a 25% exemption from VAT until at least the end of 2022.

Among all models, Audi's Q4 e-tron ranked first with 643 registered vehicles, followed by the Hyundai Ioniq 5 with 477 vehicles and the newly launched BMW iX with 444 vehicles, it is worth mentioning that there is also a domestic luxury electric SUV in the list, it is Hongqi's E-HS9, and what is more surprising is that the sales of this model in Norway in January 175 are even flat in the sales of all gasoline cars in Norway that month. This also shows from the side that Norway is indeed at the forefront of the world in carbon reduction of travel.
