The name of this series of books sounds a bit awkward at first glance: since it is "general knowledge", how can it be "classic"? If it is a "classic", it must not be "general knowledge".

Who says that what is general cannot be a classic? On the contrary, often only the general knowledge has the qualifications to become a classic.
