As civilizations emerge into the 21st century, people envision a better future. However, archaeology is a discipline that traces back to the past, and what is its significance in today's ever-changing times? What exactly are archaeologists looking for under the thick soil with their shovels? Whether it's looking for evidence of life or time, or looking for the fireflies that flicker on and off but light up the night, I think it's both. From the first handprint left by man on the cave wall, we shine as part of eternity.

Give time to civilization, give life to time. At the beginning of the planning of the six-episode documentary "See Sanxingdui Again", the Taiwan leaders started the Sanxingdui excavation tracking project in advance, and in the face of such a major theme, our cameras must be stared at the scene. Sichuan Radio and Television Station has always had a tradition of producing excellent documentaries, and the station leaders asked the documentary center to try its best to create a documentary about the rediscovery of Sanxingdui on the basis of tracking records.
The sword was not properly worn, and it was already a river and lake when going out. As the general director of "See You Again Sanxingdui", I have been cramped and uneasy after receiving the task, and how to tell the story of the re-excavation of Sanxingdui and distinguish it from the same type of archaeological documentary has become the most difficult problem for me. While the overall linear narrative of the six episodes, how to let each episode of the story form a closed loop separately is another obstacle that must be overcome.

The conundrum of documentaries must be solved in the process of recording. In the process of tracking records, our film crew gradually completed a new understanding of archaeology, cultural relics, and historical civilization. We sigh that the genes of Chinese civilization are inherited and continued in exchanges and integration, and pluralism and compatibility have created a strong tension for the Chinese nation; we have seen that generations of archaeologists have forged ahead, searched up and down, and continued the century-old chapter of Chinese archaeology. So in the process of tracking records, we gradually changed our shooting perspective, not only focusing on the story of cultural relics excavation, we wanted to show more romance and flawlessness exclusive to archaeologists. Cranes return to China, and personnel affairs are another thousand years. Because of them, the cold artifacts have a temperature, because of them, the broken artifacts have life.
"Are all you seeing is a sacrificial pit?" No, it's the footprint of life. "This is a sentence that archaeologists told us during the filming process. We always remind ourselves that the pictures we take and the details of the records should be full of emotion and humanistic thinking, and we must find the perspective of archaeologists and feel their feelings. The fascinating thing about archaeology is that it connects history and the future, so that we can understand where we come from, what kind of land is standing under our feet, don't be afraid of such a disappearance, the remaining relics will pass through the vastness of time to tell future generations that we have come this way, and that is also a long confession left by the past to the future.

As Syram said, "A good archaeologist is to let the dry springs return to gushing, let the forgotten things be remembered, and let the long rivers of history flow endlessly." Each episode of "See You Again Sanxingdui" portrays a temperament of archaeologists, either rigorous, or romantic, persevering, and willing to face difficulties. Bow down to the earth, they are the most affectionate people.

"See you again Sanxingdui", the so-called goodbye is the joy of a long-term reunion, a mutual stay across time and space, and a blessing passed down from generation to generation. Therefore, the six episodes are based on "reunion, first sight, guardianship, pursuit, rebirth, and immortality" as the title of the episode and the structure of the whole film. We hope that the Sanxingdui we record is more like an elder from more than three thousand years ago, telling us an ancient story and the legend that this land once created. This is not only the inheritance of historical civilization, but also the continuation of our common feelings.
Archaeology is a profound discipline, and Sanxingdui is a fascinating and inclusive remnant of civilization that we may never fully understand. The volume of the six-episode documentary "See You Again Sanxingdui" is far from being able to show its full picture, but we try our best to use the method of story structure to plot the layout and absorb the Yoshimitsu Katayu in this excavation, and strive to achieve an organic combination of academic and interesting, and the mutual integration of artistic value and mass communication. With a moving plot, a vivid and vivid archaeologist popularized archaeology and Sanxingdui to the public, thus arousing everyone's love and attention.
We don't chase the hilarity, nor do we just pursue the result, we care more about the process of discovery, and the hard work contained in this journey.
