Teacher Fang Jixiao is the first collector I interviewed and reported. When I see his collection in his study, a sense of closeness to history comes over me, which is very different from looking at artifacts in a museum. I personally picked up a well-preserved handwritten letter from writer Ke Yan, carefully studied the above notes, and the scene of Teacher Ke Yan holding a pen and writing in my mind came to mind. Seeing the letter is probably this feeling.

One day in the 1980s, while visiting a philatelic market in Yuetan Park, Fang Jixiao stumbled upon a group of writers who had filled out their personal resumes and creative experience registration forms, which excited him. Among these writers were not only Bing Xin, Ba Jin, Zang Kejia, Ai Qing, Ding Ling, and other literary figures who were still alive in the early 1980s, but also Zhou Erfu, the author of "Morning in Shanghai", Feng Deying, the author of "Bitter Cauliflower", Liu Zhixia, the author of "Railway Guerrilla", Liang Bin, author of "Red Flag Spectrum", and Qu Bo, author of "Lin Hai Xueyuan". These are the people he admires. Since then, his handwriting collection has been out of control, and now it has collected tens of thousands of pieces.

Some people say that the handwriting of celebrities containing manuscripts and letters is the most humanistic collection, because from the shadow of the times reflected in them, a body-warming history can often be restored, and they are unique.

In the late 1920s, Shao's wife, Tang Xiuhui, wrote a letter to Feng Gengguang, then president of the Bank of China, to the effect that she wanted to mortgage her family's stocks to keep the Beijing News. Teacher Fang Jixiao found the letter in some stocks and deduced that it was something that happened after Shao Piaoping was killed. Tang Xiuhui inherited her husband's ambitions and insisted on running the Beijing Daily under difficult conditions. This made Teacher Fang very moved, and he specially ran to the former site of the Beijing News Museum to commemorate this "strong woman" at that time.

When he holds Tian Han's manuscript of "The Tempest of the Yangtze River", he will think of the sad mood of Tian Han and Nie Er when they saw the workers carrying Japanese goods in the Huangpu River in Shanghai. When filming, Teacher Fang read aloud excitedly: "Brothers, everyone has one heart, refuses to carry arms, we are not afraid of death, don't use death to scare us, we don't do the subjugation of the country, we do not do the subjugation of the country, we want to be the masters of China, let us form an iron Great Wall, drive out the robbers, let us form an iron Great Wall, and advance towards the road of freedom." ”

The stories in the letters deeply attracted Teacher Fang Jixiao, and relying on his own collection, he began to write down these stories one by one. He has successively published a collection of essays, such as "Old Ink Records - Ink and Past Events of Century Scholars", "Old Ink Second Records - Ink And Past Events of Century Scholars", edited "The Manuscript of Mr. Chen Duxiu", co-authored the collection of academic papers "Treasures of Characters - Collection and Appreciation of Celebrity Letters", "The Whereabouts of Chen Duxiu's Manuscripts", "Xu Zhimo and China's Kangqiao", and so on.

Teacher Fang has a kind of literati elegance in him, and there is also a kind of righteousness in the jianghu. Most of the stall owners in the flea market who are familiar with him come to Beijing from other places, and Teacher Fang often helps them through some difficulties when his ability allows. Many people have become friends with Teacher Fang for many years.

Teacher Fang is still collecting, researching, and the recent new book "Chen Mengjia's Past" tells a more moving story. I bought this book for the first time. Teacher Fang signed each friend who bought his book with a pen.
