Manu Kumar Jain, Xiaomi's global vice president and CEO of India, said miUI 13 has four key features. The first is an optimized file storage system with a 60% increase in efficiency, followed by a memory optimization with a 40% increase in background process efficiency. MIUI 13 also optimizes processor prioritization for faster speeds and higher performance on the same hardware. These improvements will lead to better battery life, and Xiaomi promises to increase battery life by 10%.
MIUI 13 will also bring some new wallpapers and color schemes, as well as a brand new sidebar. Xiaomi did not disclose whether MIUI 13 will be based on Android 12, which means that some models will be based on Android 11.
