Xiaomi launched the folding screen mobile phone Xiaomi MIX FOLD in March last year, this phone is actually just Xiaomi's exploration work, just to show that it has the ability to create a folding screen phone, and did not expect this phone to sell well. But the upcoming new Xiaomi MIX FOLD folding screen phone can be different.
XDA member Kacper Skrzypek found image information in the latest MIUI system that may be the new folding screen phone, which includes the rough outline of the phone and the opening and closing screen animations. Notable is the square lens area at the rear, meaning it may have a lens layout similar to that of the Xiaomi Mi 12.
According to the code in the MIUI system, the internal code name of this new folding screen machine is "zizhan", and the outer screen may use the same screen material as xiaomi mi 10, but there may be differences in screen size and proportion. This screen uses AMOLED panel, supports 90Hz refresh rate, and provides HDR 10+ display effect.
Leaker Digital Chat Station has previously hinted that the outer screen size of the xiaomi MIX FOLD new machine is 6.5 inches, and the size of the folding screen when fully unfolded is 8 inches, compared with the previous generation of MIX FOLD, the crease of the new machine will be significantly improved.
In terms of configuration specifications, it has been basically confirmed that the new MIX FOLD will use the Snapdragon 8 Plus processor, which is built by TSMC 4nm process, the processor main frequency is higher, and the performance is stronger than the current Snapdragon 8.
