After the Beijing Winter Olympics, how will the legacy of urban volunteer service be transformed? Li Junhui, executive commander of the Beijing Winter Olympics City Volunteer Command and secretary of the Beijing Youth League Municipal Party Committee, said that encouraging and retaining volunteer teams, especially volunteer service teams for major events, is the tradition of Volunteer Service Work in Beijing. After the game, Beijing will appropriately retain some urban volunteer service sites according to the urban functional planning and the needs of citizens, making them a witness of the era of "City of Double Olympics".

Li Junhui said at the press conference that in 2008, millions of city volunteers relied on the "Volunteer Beijing" information platform after the end of the Summer Olympic Games to transform into urban volunteers as a whole, including some event volunteers and city volunteers who served the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympic Games this year, many of whom participated in the volunteer service of the 2008 Summer Olympic Games.

He said that when formulating the volunteer work plan for the Beijing Winter Olympics, the incentive and retention of volunteer teams had been taken into account.

Li Junhui pointed out that Beijing will strengthen volunteer incentives and strengthen project promotion. After the Beijing Winter Olympics and the Winter Paralympic Games, according to the development of Beijing and the needs of citizens, a series of volunteer service projects will be designed, planned and implemented, collectively known as "volunteer +", such as "volunteer + urban renewal", "volunteer + epidemic prevention and control", "volunteer + ecological civilization", "volunteer + culture and technology", etc., so that volunteers can participate in the service to ensure the construction and development of the city, and through the "volunteer +" project system to drive more volunteers to participate in the construction and development of the city.

He also pointed out that in the future, consideration will be given to highlighting professional leadership.
