Peking Opera is one of the five major types of Chinese opera and is known as the essence of China's country. The performance of the evening was divided into four major sections: "Xingyun Flowing Water Jingyun Hustle", "Zi Zi Yan Red Song Pear Garden", "Inheriting Classics and Respecting the Ancestors", and "Art Sea Stream Fangqing Centennial". The sections of "Flowing Water and Flowing Water" and "Red Song Pear Garden" are mainly traditional repertoire. The five singing sections in the "Inheriting Classics and Respecting the Ancestors" section are selected from the revolutionary modern Peking Opera "Cuckoo Mountain", "Sister Jiang" and "Red Lantern". Zhang Xiaomei, an outstanding young Meipai Qingyi actor of the Mei lanfang Peking Opera Troupe of the Beijing Opera House, took the lead in the evening, as the first song of the "Moving Clouds and Flowing Water Beijing Rhymes" section, she performed the excerpt of "Dadeng Dian" and "Wang Baojun Looking Down with His Eyes", showing the Mei Pai style to the fullest, singing a song, winning the applause of the audience. Subsequently, Xia Kai, Wang Ruoding, Wang Yijian, Zhang Xinyue and others gave wonderful performances in the sections of "Zi Yan Hongsong Pear Garden" and "Inheriting Classics and Respecting the Ancestors", allowing the audience to enjoy the classic excerpts of traditional plays such as "Drinking freely in the palace every day" in "White Gate Tower", "There used to be three great sages in the past" in "Zhu Curtain Village", and red classic excerpts such as "Cuckoo Mountain" such as "Chaotic Clouds Flying Pine Waves Roaring Mountains", "Red Lantern Record" and "Listening to Grandma Talk About Revolutionary Heroism and Tragedy".
The performance is complete and diverse, bringing together Li Hongtu, the leading actor of the Beijing Opera House, the head of the Mei Lanfang Peking Opera Troupe, and the famous artist of Ye Pai Xiaosheng, the leading actor of the Beijing Opera House and the famous artist of Ma Pai, Zhu Qiang, the leading actor of the Beijing Opera House and the famous artist of Meipai Qingyi, The ten national first-class actors of the Mei Lanfang Peking Opera Troupe of the Beijing Opera House, Guo Wei, Huang Yanzhong, Dou Xiaoxuan, Li Hongyan, Zhang Xinyue, Kang Jing, Lu Tong, Wang Yiyi, Wu Haoyi, Wang Yueling, and many young talents of the Beijing Opera House.
It is understood that the Beijing Peking Opera House was established in 1979 and is one of the key Peking Opera troupes in China. Mei Lanfang, Shang Xiaoyun, Cheng Yanqiu, Xun Huisheng, Ma Lianliang, Tan Fuying, Zhang Junqiu, Qiu Shengrong, Zhao Yanxia and other Masters of Peking Opera have left extremely valuable artistic wealth for the theater. Over the past few decades, Beijing Peking Opera House has accumulated more than 300 repertoire, including more than 260 traditional plays such as "The Orphan of Zhao", "Suo Lin Nang", "Tai Zhen Wai Biao", "Phoenix Returns to the Nest" and more than 60 new screenplays.
