From February 12 to 14, the Shantou Exhibition with the theme of "Celebrating the Winter Olympics and Welcoming Asia and Youth" was unveiled in the "Colorful Shenzhou" theme exhibition area of the 2022 Beijing News Center.
Walking into the exhibition area located in the front hall of the second floor of the Beijing News Center in 2022, special elements such as Asian Youth, toy culture creativity, and intangible cultural heritage came to the fore. The theme exhibition takes the culture of overseas Chinese, the image of the city, the new pattern of industrial development of "three new, two special and one big" and the preparation results of the Shantou Asian Youth Congress as the main content, through multimedia, interactive experience and other forms, to display the aesthetic culture of Yaqing and publicize Shantou's unique Lingnan culture and Chaoshan culture.

In the main image display area, the large screen scrolls and plays promotional films such as "Vibrant Special Zone Embraces the World", "Agitate Shantou", "Shantou Twelve Hours" and other promotional films, showing the profound overseas Chinese culture, unique and beautiful coastal scenery, and youthful sports scenes from multiple angles. In the "Fun of Culture" interactive area, non-hereditary inheritors of Chaoshan Gongfu tea art, seal engraving, Chaoyang paper-cutting and Chaoxi embroidery hook flowers came to the scene to display their intangible cultural heritage skills, allowing participants to fully appreciate the unique Lingnan culture and Chaoshan culture through in-depth cultural experience. In the exhibition area of "Cultural Heritage", three theme spray paintings reflecting the third Asian Youth Congress have become popular punch points for audiences to take group photos.

The third Asian Youth Games will be held in Shantou from December 20 to 28 this year, with 21 competitions such as diving, swimming and water polo, and a total of 25 sports venues (groups) and 1 athlete village will be renovated and built, including 14 competition venues (groups) and 11 independent training venues.

The preparations for the Third Asian Youth Congress take "youth vitality, cultural integration, intelligent creativity, green and low-carbon, safe and healthy" as the concept of running the competition, while carrying out sports competitions, holding various cultural and educational exchange activities, better disseminating the Olympic values of "excellence, friendship and respect" among young people, and leaving behind the valuable cultural heritage of Asian Youth.
Huang Donghua, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Shantou Municipal CPC Committee and director of the Propaganda Department of the Shantou Municipal Executive Committee of the Asian Youth Congress, expressed the hope that through this theme activity, the exchanges and interaction between the Shantou Asian Youth Congress and the Beijing Winter Olympic Games will be strengthened, so that more people can enter the Asian Youth Congress, and at the same time, they will also better publicize the achievements of Shantou in promoting the construction of regional cultural highlands.
