According to the news of the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision on April 26, Duan Yufei, former secretary of the party group and director of the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission, is suspected of serious violations of discipline and law, and is currently undergoing disciplinary review and supervision investigation by the Guangdong Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision.
According to public information, Duan Yufei was born in April 1961, a native of Zixing, Hunan, started working in October 1976, joined the Communist Party of China in February 1985, and holds a postgraduate degree from the Party School of the Provincial Party Committee and a bachelor's degree in medicine.
Duan Yufei worked in Shaoguan Health School in his early years, served as the principal and secretary of the party committee, and concurrently served as the director of the municipal health bureau and secretary of the party committee in October 2000. In June 2004, he was transferred to the secretary of the county party committee of Ruyuan Yao Autonomous County.
In January 2007, he was appointed as a member of the Standing Committee of the Shaoguan Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Municipal Commission for Discipline Inspection, and in January 2012, he was appointed Executive Vice Mayor.
In May 2013, Duan Yufei served as Director of the Guangdong Provincial Food and Drug Administration, Secretary of the Party Leadership Group, Director of the Office of the Provincial Food Safety Commission, Director of the Guangdong Provincial Health and Family Planning Commission in 2016, Director and Secretary of the Party Leadership Group of the Guangdong Provincial Health Commission in October 2018, and stepped down in September 2021.
