AdDuplex: Microsoft Win11's share of PCs grows to 16.1%

IT House January 29 news, AdDuplex released the latest January survey shows that the use share of Windows 11 has grown to 16.1% this month.

Compared to last November's data, which showed nearly 8.6 percent of PCs running Windows 11, the latest data shows that Windows 11 has doubled its usage share in just two months.

The January survey also showed that Windows 10 21H1 still topped the list with a market share of 28.6%, followed by Windows 10 20H2 with a market share of 26.3%.

Meanwhile, Windows 10 21H2's market share rose from 3.7 percent in November to 12.1 percent this month. Other versions of Windows 10 account for single-digit market share. It's worth noting that 0.4% of PCs are currently running the Windows 11 Insider version.

IT Home has learned that Microsoft recently said that there are more than 1.4 billion active Windows 10 and 11 users worldwide every month, and Windows 11 is popular with PC users because the acceptance rate of free upgrades is twice that of Windows 10.

Windows 11 will bring new experiences in February, including a public preview of how to use the Android app on Windows 11 through the Microsoft Store and our partnership with Amazon and Intel, taskbar improvements including mute and unmute calls, easier window sharing and bringing the weather to the taskbar, and the introduction of two redesigned apps – Notepad and Media Player.
