The first major update for Windows 11 arrives next month! Finally, you can run the Android app

In a presentation at last June 24' press conference, Microsoft confirmed that Windows 11 would be able to run the Andorid app. Microsoft uses Bridge technology from Intel to recompile code in real time so that software and hardware of different architectures can be compatible with each other to run Andorid apps on Windows 11. However, when Windows 11 was officially launched on October 5 last year, this highly anticipated feature could not be used, and Microsoft said that it would take several months to do related tests.

The first major update for Windows 11 arrives next month! Finally, you can run the Android app

Recently, The head of Windows and devices Panos Panay wrote on the official blog confirming that Microsoft is preparing to make the first major update to Windows 11 next month, including the addition of a preview version of Windows Subsystem for Android in the Microsoft Store, a redesigned notepad and multimedia player, and improvements to the taskbar.

In fact, Microsoft has previously released a preview version of Windows Subsystem for Android to eligible Windows Insider members, as well as testing the new version of Notepad and Multimedia Player. This time, Windows Subsystem for Android is still in preview, and there may be changes in future features. The Windows 11 taskbar is one of the most complained about designs in the new operating system because of the lack of certain features, such as displaying time on multiple screens, dragging and dropping files, and resizing.

Panos Panay said users can upgrade Windows 11 twice as fast as Windows 10, and the new version of the operating system has tripled traffic to the Microsoft Store, which seems to be popular with users. Microsoft is pushing Windows 11 to eligible PCs, and the batch push will be completed by mid-2022, a little earlier than originally planned.
