The official response of Weibo said that the early App has developed a large-character version of Weibo, and the aging and barrier-free transformation of the main Weibo client is underway; as of press time, Sogou and Dingdang Fast Medicine have not responded.
51 commonly used apps have passed the age-appropriate transformation evaluation

According to the qualified list released by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, 51 of them are Apps. According to the list, in addition to some of the apps previously requested by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, there are more than ten apps that have taken the initiative to transform and passed the evaluation, including NetEase News, Meituan Hotel Merchants, Meituan, Shanghai Jing'an, Shanghai Huangpu, Sui bidding Citizen Cloud, Cloud FlashPay, Guangzhou Metro, Ping An Pocket Bank, QQ Music, Dongguan Bank, Dongguan Bank Direct Bank, Shengquan Pension App.
In this qualified list, most of the Internet giants' apps have passed the evaluation. For example, Tencent's 7 Apps have passed the aging and barrier-free transformation evaluation, including WeChat, WeChat Pay (embedded in WeChat), QQ, Tencent News Care Edition, Tencent Map Care Edition, National K Song and QQ Music; Alibaba's 5 Apps have also passed the evaluation, including Taobao, Idle Fish, Hungry Mo, Youku Video, Alipay; Baidu's Baidu, Baidu Map, ByteDance's Today's Toutiao, Douyin and Douyin Volcano Edition Apps have also passed the evaluation.
Previously, after the first phase of the transformation period of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (September 30, 2021), the Nandu Big Data Research Institute conducted a detailed evaluation of the first batch of 43 apps that were suitable for aging transformation, at that time, Tencent Maps, iQiyi, and Idle Fish did not launch the old version as scheduled, and many apps, including Tencent News, Hungry Mo, Dingdang Fast Medicine, etc., were about a week before the transformation period of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and the old version was launched for the first time.
Previous evaluations have also found that some Apps are on the surface, problems such as complex operation processes and induced content are still obvious, and there are still some apps with advertisements. On January 26, Nandu reporters downloaded the App that had previously found problems to experience, and the related problems have been improved.
Sina Weibo, Sogou and Dingdang Fast Medicine App are not on the first list of qualified
Compared with the list of the first batch of apps proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology at the end of 2020 to require ageing and barrier-free transformation, among the 51 platforms that passed the evaluation this time, sina Weibo, Sogou, 114 Health, Dingdang Fast Medicine and Didi Chuxing were not seen.
On January 26, 2022, Nandu reporters experienced Sina Weibo and Sogou and found that the ageing version of Weibo is a separately developed App, called "Weibo Big Character Version". Its Android version provides functional modules such as brushing Weibo, sending Weibo, watching videos, and searching. The old version of Dingdang Fast Medicine has not developed a separate App, which can be searched through the keyword "Caring Edition" in the search bar of the regular version of Dingdang Fast Medicine to switch versions. According to actual measurements, when entering the "Dingdang Fast Medicine Care Edition", the interface function is reduced a lot, and only the three functions of "buying drugs", "doctor prescribing drugs" and "consulting pharmacists" are retained. The aging version of Sogou is called "Sogou Search Affection Edition", which also provides functional modules such as "health", "ask a doctor" and "watch TV".
However, when the Nandu reporter tried to search for "health tea" and "what tea to drink" in the "Sogou Search Family Edition", an advertisement appeared on the first screen of the search results. According to the "Special Action Plan for Internet Application Aging and Barrier-free Transformation", the old version, caring version and barrier-free version of the mobile App after the completion of the transformation will no longer have advertising plug-ins, especially the payment operation will not have any induced buttons, so that all kinds of special groups can use it conveniently and safely. In the "Mobile Internet Application (App) Ageing Universal Design" also has clear specific requirements: the aging version of the interface, a separate age-appropriate version of the App is strictly prohibited to appear advertising content and plug-ins, nor can there be random ads or temporary advertising pop-ups.
Ads still appear in some search results in "Sogou Search Affection Edition"
Nandu reporter on Weibo, Sogou, Dingdang fast medicine App is not in the public list of the evaluation, asked the three platforms for details, Weibo responded that at present, Weibo has completed the PC side of the appropriate aging and barrier-free transformation, the early App side has been developed online Weibo large character version. The aging and barrier-free transformation of the main client of Weibo is underway, and the follow-up will continue to increase investment to promote the transformation work. As of press time, sogou and dingdang fast medicine have not responded.
However, the Nandu reporter noted that the Sina Weibo website and Sogou website have also made upgrades to adapt to aging and accessibility, and passed the evaluation of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
