Among them, the biggest difficulty is that due to closed management, the city's logistics are almost interrupted, raw materials and parts cannot come in, and products cannot go out. In addition, BYD is also facing the problem of epidemic prevention and control of managers and technicians who cannot enter the factory and 69,500 people who are stranded in the factory area. But the problem was quickly solved.
On the day of the implementation of social closed management in Xi'an, the epidemic prevention and control headquarters of Xi'an High-tech Zone urgently issued the "Measures for Logistics and Transportation of Continuous Production Enterprises During the Epidemic Prevention and Control Period", designating the three-star toll station of the expressway as the logistics entry and exit channel for key enterprises, in accordance with the principle of "goods left, cars killed, not leaving the car, and immediate departure", to ensure the stability of the supply chain and solve BYD's urgent needs. At the same time, BYD physically isolated the park from the outside world for the first time, used a non-contact method to distribute production materials and daily necessities, blocked the risk of epidemic transmission to the greatest extent, and quickly reorganized employees on the job and resumed production in an orderly manner through promotion in the line of fire.
"By the end of December, in just a few days, our daily production capacity of cars has reached 1,500 vehicles, and it has reached 1,700 vehicles, with a daily output value of 300 million yuan." BYD Xi'an Manufacturing Base is one of the eight major production bases of BYD Automobile in China, and also the main production capacity base, mainly producing Qin and Song models. In 2021, BYD produced a total of 4.06 million passenger cars in Xi'an High-tech Zone, achieving a total industrial output value of 266.1 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth rate of 98%, almost doubling.
