On January 25, the 23rd of the Lunar New Year, the "Tiger and Tiger Shengfu - Nongyin Tiger Year New Year Zodiac Cultural Relics (Photo) Joint Exhibition" organized by China Cultural Relics Newspaper and nearly 50 cultural and museum institutions was exhibited at the Shanxi Museum. Hundreds of tiger-related specimens, artwork pictures, and more than 30 cultural relics from the Shanxi Museum's collection were assembled into a rich joint exhibition of Chinese zodiac cultural relics.

The exhibition is divided into 3 units: "Tiger Leaping Ten Thousand Years - Tiger in the Natural World", "Tiger in the East - Tiger in History and Culture", "Tiger Walking in the World - Tiger in Folk Life". The exhibition not only comprehensively interprets the survival state of the king of the hundred beasts in the natural world, but also vividly reflects the king's style of the tiger in historical relics.

According to the photo exhibition, the Neolithic jade tiger-shaped huang collected by the Tianjin Museum, the tiger-shaped jade ornament of the Shang Dynasty, the white jade tiger-shaped pendant, and the Bronze Fangding of the Shang Dynasty Houmu Peng in the Collection of the National Museum of China with tiger patterns are closely related to the tiger totem. In this exhibition, the Shanxi Museum will display precious cultural relics such as the three-colored tiger pillow of the Jin Dynasty and the Spring and Autumn Tiger Head Lifting Beam Andzai in physical form, so that the audience can see its style.

Since ancient times, Chinese tiger culture has a long history. Tiger myths and tiger legends are circulated among all ethnic groups throughout the country. In myths, folklore, and various religions, tigers are objects of worship. The epic poems of ethnic minorities mention that "the heavens and the earth, the sun and the moon, the wind and rain, the thunder and lightning, all incarnate from the tiger."

When the image of the tiger entered the folk, the mighty tiger became a mascot passed down from generation to generation, and the people gave it the expectation of exorcising demons, warding off evil spirits, and prolonging life. Tiger hats and tiger shoes hand-sewn by elders have accompanied a generation of children in their infancy. After more than 3,000 years of evolution, the folk tiger fabric of Licheng County, Changzhi City, Shanxi Province, is now a national intangible cultural heritage because of its exquisite craftsmanship, vivid shape and majestic style. In the middle of the exhibition, dozens of exquisite tiger head shoes, tiger hats, costumes and various fabric toys have passed through thousands of years, giving the children who come to visit a good expectation and wish.

At the same time, the "Tiger and Tiger Blessing - Exploration Activity" is also highly liked by the audience in this exhibition. "Tigers in nature, tigers in the long river of history and culture, tigers hidden in museums... All the puzzles related to the tiger are in this exploration manual.
