On the same day, the "Ice and Snow Shine New Year" Shanghai artist creation activity was held in Shanghai International Media Harbor. Six top artists from Shanghai jointly sprinkled ink around the New Year of the Tiger and the Beijing Winter Olympics, with the theme of "Ice and Snow Shine New Year", and welcomed the arrival of the Beijing Winter Olympics with their works, expressing their blessings for the New Year of the Tiger and showing the charm of China's excellent traditional culture.
The old artists who participated in the creation on that day were: Chen Jialing, the first researcher of the National Academy of Painting of China and professor of the Department of Chinese Painting of the Academy of Fine Arts of Shanghai University, Wang Guanqing, librarian of the Shanghai Museum of Culture and History and former deputy editor of the Shanghai People's Fine Arts Publishing House, Wang Jiafang, librarian of the Shanghai Museum of Culture and History and director of the China Artists Association, Zhang Fuxing, member of the China Artists Association and painter of the Shanghai Academy of Calligraphy and Painting, Wan Fu, librarian of the Shanghai Museum of Culture and History and professor of the Shanghai Academy of Arts and Crafts, and Cai Yuxian, painter of the Shanghai Academy of Calligraphy and Painting and vice president of the Shanghai Xiangshan Calligraphy and Painting Society of the Kuomintang.
On the morning of the event, six veteran artists created a work based on their painting expertise and shared their own creative experiences.

As an outstanding contemporary landscape painter, The Haipai painter Wang Jiafang has precipitated decades of self-cultivation and cognitive experience of traditional culture. On the day of the event, his personal work was "Ice and Snow Shine Winter Olympics", which symbolizes the spirit of ice and snow, and the competition melts friendship. Integrate his experience in Shougang into the creative content, from natural ski tracks to artificially built jumping platforms, combining natural scenery with humanistic spirit, showing the Olympic spirit and blessing the Beijing Winter Olympics.
