Because he experienced the demise of the Northern Song Dynasty in middle age, he felt nostalgia, sadness, and speech in the style of lyrics, which gave great inspiration and influence to the Xin poets represented by Xin Abandoned Disease.
In the special auction of China Guardian's 2020 autumn auction "Daguan - Night of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Treasures : Ancient Times", Zhu Dunru's "Suo Ti" by Zhu Dunru, a literary giant at the turn of the Song Dynasty, started at 108 million yuan, fell on the hammer for 131 million yuan, and sold with a commission of 150.65 million yuan, which also created the highest price record of Zhu Dunru's personal auction.

At present, only four of Zhu Dunru's inkblots are known, and the other three are in the museum collection. "Sui Suo Ti" is not only the most splendid piece written in Zhu Dunru's inkblot, but also the one with the largest scale, the largest number of words, and the most typical appearance.

"The Silk Thread" is clear and simple, the writing is relatively slow, and the strength runs through the whole process. During the Southern Song Dynasty, the most pertinent comments on Zhu Dunru's calligraphy were made by the scholar Zhu Xi, who once commented that "the two articles of the Tao Te Ching of the Old Man of YanYuan Xiaokai are exquisite and mellow. In recent times, such as Chen Bixuan's "XiangHe" and Huang Changrui's "Huang Ting", they are all beyond their reach. Only the turbulent stone metaphor is the public "Canon Quotation" books, for the square to control the ear. Later, he said, "Calligraphy flourished in the Tang Dynasty, but everyone saw itself according to their strengths, and the Han and Wei Zhikai laws were abolished." These two inscriptions of Zhu Xi are all about Zhu Dunru's calligraphy, the former saying that his calligraphy is exquisite and ancient, and the famous Chen Jingyuan and Huang Bosi are not up to it. Only Yu Fan can be compared. The latter said that Zhu Dunru and Yu Fan kai chased after Zhong Xuan on the law, and Ge Gao Yunyuan was far away.
At the end of the Song Dynasty, Zhao Mengjian also believed that Zhu Dunru's calligraphy was strong enough to pursue Zhong Xuan, and he was inscribed together with Huang Bosi and Li Chuquan. Yuan Yuan extended Zhao Mengjian's point of view, saying, "In the Song Dynasty, Xi Zhong shu, only Huang, Zhu, Li, And Jiang Yaozhang (夔) and Zigu (Zhao Mengjian) had ears."
