Zhuangzi: Life, simply live, live happily

Lin Yutang said that there are only four things to happiness: one is to sleep in your own bed, the second is to eat the meals made by your parents, the third is to listen to your lover to give you love words, and the fourth is to play games with your children. It is not rich and noble, nor is it a success, it is an ordinary and simple daily life, in fact, a simple and ordinary life is the most real and warm.

Material simplicity

Zhuangzi said: The wren nests in the deep forest, but it is only one branch; the rat drinks the river, but the belly is full. Wrens only need a branch to settle down, and rats drink water, at most, but they are full.

People don't really need that much stuff. One bed can sleep peacefully, and one room can shelter from the wind and rain. Being able to feed and feed and do what you like to do is actually enough. If there are too many material demands, people often lose their freedom and suffer for life.

Zhuangzi was once a small official in the lacquer garden, and he had no worries about food and clothing. However, the officials inside made a blessing, and Zhuangzi could not bear it and resolutely resigned. He makes a living at home weaving straw mats, and when he has time, he talks with his student friends. Life is embarrassing, but enjoying itself. On the surface, the fresh clothes and angry horses are not as good as the inner life.

Zhuangzi said: Things are not things. Man should be the master of things, not slaves. Control your material desires and learn to enjoy spiritual abundance. In today's great material abundance, letting go of greed and understanding the foot is the way to be good.

Desire simplicity

Zhuangzi once said that Huizi became the prime minister of liangguo, and some people spread rumors that Zhuangzi was coming to Liangguo to seize the position of prime minister. Keiko was terrified, so she ordered the entire Liang kingdom to search for Zhuangzi. Zhuangzi went to see Keiko in person. Zhuangzi said that there are phoenix birds in the south, and when they encounter sycamores, they will rest, only eat bamboo rice (bamboo blossoms), and only drink clear springs. The owl gets a dead mouse, the phoenix passes by, and the owl emits a 'Scare!' 's voice. Are you going to scare me today for the sake of Liang Guo's phase?

Zhuangzi compares himself to an eagle, Keiko to a bird, and Gong MingLi Lu to a rotten rat, indicating that he despises Gong Ming Li Lu's position and interest. In Zhuangzi's view, it is really boring to live between heaven and earth, fiddle with money, and draw money to fame. Once addicted to power, man becomes a turtle as a sacrifice, and his life is gone, so what can he do with glory? It's better to wag your tail in the mud.

Life is not only about desire, but also about spirit, and about emotion. Emotions make people warm, and spirits make people rich. Zhuge Liang said: Indifferent to Ming Zhi, quiet and far-reaching. Desire is hard to fill, and human desire is a bottomless pit. Trying to satisfy yourself materially, you can only keep sliding into the abyss, and it is difficult to extricate yourself. Convergence of desires, understand simplicity, in order to complete themselves and enjoy life.

Circle simple

Zhuangzi went to the funeral, passed by Keiko's cemetery, turned back to the followers, and said: "There is a man in the Chu kingdom who smears white ash on the tip of his nose like the wings of a fly, and let a craftsman named Shi cut off the white ash with an axe." The craftsman waved his axe like a gust of wind, and left it to him to cut, and the white ash was cut clean and the nose was not damaged. The man in YingDu stood there without changing color. When Song Yuanjun heard about this, he summoned the craftsman and said, "You try to cut it for me." The craftsman said, 'I was able to cut off the white ash from the tip of my nose, but the man who dared to let me cut it has been dead for a long time.' 'Since Keiko's death, I have no opponents to argue with, and I can't find anyone to talk about!' ”

Friends are no more, but in fine. In this life, friends do not need too much, and it is enough to have one or two confidants. Friends are relatives of their own choosing, confidants who can talk, not tools for the superior position, nor chips to use. Relationships are illusory, and only their own abilities are solid. Life in the world, give up the senseless circle, the senseless social. Focusing on your own business, having a few confidant friends, getting together a few times a month, and saying a few confidants, is much more important than networking.

Life is a hundred years, coming and going in a hurry. Don't waste your life for those things that are empty-headed. The choice of material, desire, and circle is simple, and only in this way can we live more comfortably and comfortably.
