"Once Upon a Time there were glazed tiles" mainly revolves around the lives of the children of Shao Xue (Chen Yuqi), Zheng Sunian (Lin Yi), Zhang Qi (Yan Zidong) and other cultural relics restoration craftsmen.

They grew up together in the hutongs of Beijing, experienced the SARS epidemic, the death of elders, the demolition of ancient cities and other things, and formed a deep friendship. As they grew older, several friends also chose completely different paths due to differences in personality: Shao Xue chose to go away, Zheng Shunian inherited the legacy of his elders to become a cultural relics conservator; Zhang Qi was guaranteed in advance because of his outstanding mathematical talent. After years of parting, they meet again, and the seeds planted in their youth break through the ground again...

In the newly released trailer, the sweet and warm emotional line in the play is told in the way of "the person in the story". In the soft picture, the once familiar student era clearly emerges. The young and naïve people staged a scene of joyful daily life of laughter and play, especially the interaction between the two little unsuspecting Shao Xue and Zheng Sunian, which showed a fresh and moving, just right romance. With the passage of time, the soft light of the campus era gradually fades, and the future chosen by everyone triggers unlimited reverie, from the school uniform to the wedding dress, or will touch the heart of each audience.

Based on the novel of the same name, "Once Upon a Time with Glazed Tiles" is set in and around the hutongs inhabited by cultural relics conservators, and through their lives and emotional contexts, it tells the audience about the endless continuity between the traditional feelings of Chinese and modern trends. Through a large number of exquisite professional details, the play shows that the cultural relics conservators carry the warmth of cultural relics and history, with the attitude of "doing one thing well in their lifetime", pursue the excellence of skills, and convey the spirit of "sincerity" and "respect" in traditional culture. At the same time, in "Once Upon a Time There Were Glazed Tiles", the young protagonists' attitude towards emotions is also single-minded and beautiful, despite the passage of time, the ups and downs of fate, and the changes in life, they still do not change their original intentions, and guard the unchanging tenderness in their hearts in their own ways. When the value of traditional skills and skills collides and merges with the youthful vitality of the younger generation, "Once Upon a Time with Glazed Tiles" depicts a new cultural outlook of "Youth National Tide".

Young director Tian Yu has directed the 2020 phenomenon-level web drama "I Don't Want to Be Friends with You", which skillfully combines the style of the times and the story of youth, and this time directing the "memory killing" "Once Upon a Glazed Tile" with a sense of age and youthfulness, the performance can be expected; the script of the play is created by screenwriter Meng Wenjing, which has won the first prize of the NEXT IDEA Young Screenwriters Competition, and his screenwriter's film "Willow Wave Singing Warbler" was shortlisted for the 24th Shanghai International Film Festival Golden Jubilee Award, and its grasp of the unique era atmosphere of the 90s was widely praised. The audience expects this team to bring a fresh work.
