"Cherish every moment of youth"

Oyating

A group of documentaries at the Satellite Television Center

I am a study committee member of the Youth League Branch of the Satellite Television Center and a documentary filmmaker. My youth manifesto is "make every day into a limited edition", because the youth of struggle is the most precious, and every day is worth cherishing.

My daily routine is mainly to go out and shoot documentaries and edit in the computer room. The former requires a lot of time to do research, step on the scene, communicate with the subject, deal with various emergencies, determine the content and process of shooting... Be well prepared before you can start the official shooting on site.

What impressed me the most was that last year we filmed a large-scale music documentary program "China Is So Beautiful". Each episode is 90 minutes long, but the official shooting time is less than a week, why? It is because the director team spent double the effort on the early stage of "looking for beautiful people". Every time we went to a place, we chatted with the locals, got acquainted with the villagers, learned their stories, observed and actually participated in their lives. In fact, like us, they are ordinary people who eat three meals a day, do not eat, and their lives are repetitive and even a little monotonous. But in such a simple time, there are still candles beating in their eyes, and the light is enough for them to face the impermanence and teasing of fate, to calmly spend most of the trivial and boring daily life, so that ordinary life is glowing... Although I get anxious every day on set, what I get more is healing. Many things, often not special in the moment, will not be known until later.

Memories with the team are also precious. The episode in Gansu was mobile, which meant that in addition to eating and sleeping, the crew spent most of their time in the car. We were wandering between Lanzhou, Wuwei, Baiyin, and Linxia, and the car was speeding on mountain roads, small roads, national highways, and highways, and after a few days, the "old waist" of the director of photography was about to be unable to support it. The weather in Gansu also showed us great "enthusiasm", we were fortunate to encounter many uncommon extreme weather: stepping on the spot in March, catching up with the sandstorm; repeatedly in May, the morning was still clear, suddenly hail and freezing rain, the temperature plummeted to single digits, we wore thin sunscreen clothes in the empty shantou village, frozen and jumped up and down; by the official shooting in June, the ultraviolet rays of the plateau penetrated us mercilessly. However, didn't we also take pictures of the most beautiful scenery in the Great Northwest? There is also the encouragement and family to eat dumplings with lamb, back to the ruins of their hometown Shantou Village, and slowly sing "Kik Song" against the loess plateau with ravines... You may feel like I'm working, but I feel like I'm moving forward with love and strength.

"Youth, wanton growth"

Zhang Wen

Choreographer of the Children's Department of the Satellite Television Center

At the age of 25, I became a choreographer in the children's department of the Satellite TV Center, and in the post, I treated people and things with full enthusiasm, spared no effort, and at the same time enjoyed every challenge brought by my work.

When it comes to challenges, communication is one of the biggest ones. What impressed me most was that in the year of graduation, I participated in the cross-strait college student leadership camp activities and became a team leader. Such a "first in life" is difficult for me. Skipping the major I studied, my functions in the activities were almost completely different from my usual choreography and directing work. The college students on both sides of the strait who participated in the activities were not familiar with each other before, and I needed to guide them and take good care of the food, clothing, shelter and transportation of the team members, and also complete the corresponding tasks. How to be a good tour leader? At that time, I was really bottomless, not only because I had no experience, but also because I was not so good at communication.

Thankfully, this opportunity has allowed me to grow and enjoy the process of change. From the very beginning of hard contact with the team members, to the initiative to participate in every exchange, to the beginning of looking for topics to actively attack, I learned to show my most sincere side in front of others. Slowly, I found that communication was not as difficult as I thought, and the activities allowed me to make many friends and make me bravely move forward in social life.

The communication skills gained in this activity were further applied to my usual work. After officially joining the company, the "Toot Toot Kindergarten" column formed the first stop for my work, where I met many people of different ages and occupations: children, teachers, parents, work partners... It turns out that facing different groups of people, the way of communication is also different! Bold exploration is not limited to communication, boldly trying interesting ways to apply to the show, but also opened up my "new horizons".

Breaking through the shackles, growing toward the sun, the beauty of 25 years old is that I am not afraid of difficulties, striding forward, as long as I am on the road, I will always be a youth.

Youth is in its prime

The struggle is timely
