If you come to Hefang Street, you will most likely hear the music coming from the intersection. The sound is thick and melodious, similar to the saxophone but not exactly similar. This instrument, called the Peace Pipe, is a musical instrument native to Hangzhou and an intangible cultural heritage project in Shangcheng District.

There is a group of Hangzhou people who love peace pipe and formed a peace pipe band. In their spare time, they will play in various places: it may be Hefang Street, it may be Ziyun Cave, it may be a museum... As long as there are people, there is a stage.

"I'm seventy years old, and I'm still playing the peace pipe just to pass it on." Yang Guoliang, a common teacher of the band, said.

Carrying forward the peace pipe is also the common voice of the band members...
