On February 12th, the Shenzhen Futian District Student Art Exhibition came to an end in Hongling Middle School, and the Wind Orchestra of our school made another great achievement and won the first prize! This is the first prize after the 13th Futian District Primary School Band Performance. I would like to extend my warm congratulations to all teachers and students!
After a strict preliminary selection, only 10 wind orchestras entered the finals of this year's Futian District Art Exhibition and participated in the live performance. Since there has always been no shortage of strong traditional teams in Futian District, this year's live performance by 10 elite wind orchestras is particularly exciting, and the competition is particularly fierce.
Under the guidance of the conductor, the children of the Wind Ensemble confidently appeared on the stage, wearing crisp blue suits, gray pleated skirts, and blue trousers, and every button was just right, revealing an impeccable delicacy. After the ceremony, the teacher waved his hand, and the concert hall sounded a cheerful and enthusiastic "Festival Celebration", sometimes melodious and tactful, sometimes passionate. The beautiful melody was intoxicating, conquered all the judges and the audience, and the little performers stood out and won the first prize in one fell swoop!
Since its establishment in October 2018, the Wind Ensemble of our school has won the first prize in domestic and foreign competitions many times in just five years with the concept of "building a platform without boundaries for students and striving to make students the best version of themselves". In 2023, most of the backbone of the orchestra have graduated and left, and due to the pandemic, our new fourth-year members have only been learning Xi training for just over half a year. Before joining the orchestra, the vast majority of the children had no musical foundation, and this was their first time participating in a live competition.
The children won the championship in one fell swoop to bring everyone a great surprise and excitement, but there is no casual success in this world, behind the achievements condensed the hard work of many people: thanks to the leaders of our school for always giving high attention and care to the wind orchestra, continue to improve the conditions for running the school, and provide a solid guarantee for the orchestra; Strict and loving teaching the children to make progress bit by bit, thanks to the voice teachers for their one-on-one lessons and insisting on helping the children practice their skills and basic skills, thanks to the class teachers for their strong support to the orchestra, and thanks to the parent committee and parents for their consistent active support and selfless dedication to the orchestra. Finally, I would like to praise our best children, you all have a seed of love for music buried in your hearts, and you have handed in a satisfactory answer sheet with your hard work and perseverance!
