Liu Jicai, born in May 1970, is a native of Wuyang County, Anhui Province, with a master's degree in literature and a national first-class artist.
In 1992, he was admitted to the Central Academy of Arts and Crafts (Tsinghua Academy of Fine Arts), and in 1993, he entered the Capital Museum for work-study, established the Beijing Cultural Relics Appraisal Center, and worked in the Cultural Relics Appraisal Center.
In 1995, he joined the "China International Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Association", and in May of the same year, he initiated the establishment of the "China Collectors Association".
In 1996, he taught at the Art Department of Beijing Experimental University. In the same year, he held a solo exhibition in the gallery of the Capital Museum, and his Chinese painting "Jiangyuan" and oil painting "Dunhuang Dream" were collected by the first museum. He has won dozens of awards in the National Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Exhibition, and has been included in dozens of historical dictionaries such as "Chinese Collectors' Dictionary", "Chinese Celebrity Dictionary", "World Outstanding Expert Celebrity Dictionary", "Chinese Artists Dictionary", "Chinese Art Masters" and so on.
In 2000, he was invited by Japan to hold a solo exhibition at the Tokyo Museum of Art, Japan. His works such as "Narrative of the Red Wall" and "Autumn Spring" have been collected by the Imperial Museum of Japan.
In 2002, the "World Celebrity Cultural Exchange Exhibition" was held at the Seoul International Exhibition Center in South Korea, and more than a dozen masterpieces such as the Chinese painting works "Splendid Future", "Guotai Min'an" oil painting works "Tibetan Style Series" were collected by the Korean Ministry of Justice, the National Assembly, the Parliament, museums and art galleries.
In 2003, at the invitation of the Russian state leadership, he held an exhibition at the Moscow Art Museum in the capital. The oil paintings "Buddha Yuan" and "Life No. 1" have been collected by art museums and collectors. It has been well received by people from all walks of life around the world.
In March 2004, at the invitation of the "World Celebrity Cultural Exchange Association", the "Liu Jicai Works Exhibition" was held in Seoul and Busan, South Korea, and the proceeds from the auction were donated to the Korea Charity Federation. He was appointed as the "Chief Representative of China" by the World Celebrity Cultural Exchange Association (affiliated to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization).
From September 2005 to October 2006, he was commissioned by the Central Military Commission to take a red creation journey, from Jinggangshan, Ruijin, Xingguo, Ganzhou, to Yan'an to the northwest slope to inspect the red journey series, and created a series of oil paintings such as "Woven Straw Shoes", "Four Stars Looking at the Moon", "Good News Coming", "Draught Don't Forget the Well Diger" and other oil paintings.
In October 2008, he joined the China Collectors Association. During the Wenchuan earthquake in Sichuan, he was awarded the honorary title of "World Peace 5.12 Love and Dedication Ambassador" by the World Peace Charity Federation for donating RMB 1 million yuan to the Sichuan disaster area, and dozens of news media such as CCTV, Beijing TV, Shanxi TV, and China Yellow River TV reported his life deeds. In November 2009, his oil painting "Retired Heroes" was selected for the "11th National Art Exhibition • Chinese Painting Exhibition" jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture, the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Chinese Artists Association, and won the China Art Award • Creation Excellence Award. In 2010, he went to Russia for sketching and academic exchanges.
In June 2011, in the "National Exhibition of Chinese Paintings", the Chinese painting "Friendship in Arms" won the Excellence Award.
In 2012, he went to Southeast Asian countries to hold exhibitions, academic exchanges and lectures.
In September 2013, the oil painting "Desert Thinking" was exhibited in the "National Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition" (sponsored by the China Artists Association)
In 2014, the literary series "Filial Piety in the World" jointly organized by CCTV and the Ministry of Culture won the first prize and was collected by CCTV and was awarded the honorary title of "Filial Piety Promotion Ambassador" by the Ministry of Culture. During 2015, he completed the investigation and sketching of the Yellow River along the way from Tibet to Xinjiang, and created more than 100 works of huge Chinese painting landscapes for the halls, reception halls and conference rooms of provincial government agencies across the country, which were permanently treasured by local government agencies.
In 2015, he was appointed as a member of the "National Calligraphy and Painting Review Committee" by the "Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Review and Runge Committee".
Since 2016, he has held a solo exhibition in New York, USA, during which the "New York Museum of Art" has been well received by people from all walks of life in the United States, such as the Chinese ambassador to the United States, overseas Chinese, etc., and has stayed in the United States for investigation and exchange.
In 2018, he was appointed as the vice president of the Asian Artists Association of America, the chairman of the Artists Association in Beijing, and the vice president of the Queens Academy of Fine Arts in New York.
In August 2019, he won the "70 People Calligraphy and Painting Art Achievement Award in the 70 Years of the Founding of the People's Republic of China" at the "Global Chinese Influence Ceremony"
In 2020, in the "Chinese Artists Overseas Media Exhibition and Broadcasting Project", his artistic achievements and works of art were successfully selected and featured by 300 overseas authoritative media, and he was awarded the honorary title of "Famous Artist at Home and Abroad".
In 2021, he was jointly awarded the honorary plaque of "National First-Class Artist Famous Artist - Liu Jicai Calligraphy and Painting Studio" by the "Ministry of Culture and Tourism" and the "National Artist Review Committee".
In 2022, he was appointed as a visiting professor at the Royal Victoria College of Art in Victoria, Canada, and an honorary fellow of the Harvard University School of Art.
He is currently a member of the Chinese Artists Association, a member of the Chinese Collectors Association, the vice chairman of the Asian Artists Association of the United States, a visiting professor at the Royal Victoria College of Art, Canada, the chief representative of China of the World Federation of Celebrity Cultural Exchange, an honorary academician of the Harvard University School of Art, and a researcher of the China International Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Association. He has published many art books and periodicals such as "Liu Jicai's Painting Collection", "Artist Liu Jicai", "Chinese Painting and Calligraphy Talent - Oil Painting Master Liu Jicai", "Chinese Powerful Painter's Collection", "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Art ~ Famous Painter Liu Jicai" and so on.

In 1996, he taught at the Department of Art at Beijing Experimental University. In the same year, a personal work exhibition was held at the Capital Museum Gallery, and the traditional Chinese painting "Jiangyuan" and oil painting "Dunhuang Dream" were collected in the first museum. Dozens of awards have been won at major Chinese calligraphy and painting exhibitions, and have been included in dozens of historical dictionaries such as the "Chinese Collectors Dictionary", "Chinese Celebrities Dictionary", "World Excellent Experts and Celebrities Dictionary", "Chinese Artists Dictionary", and "Chinese Masters of Art".

I have been studying and exchanging ideas in the United States.
In 2018, the UNESCO Asian Artists Association was appointed as Vice President of the Asian Artists Association, President of the Artists Association in Beijing, and Vice President of the Queen's Academy of Painting in New York.
In August 2019, at the "Global Chinese Influence Ceremony", he was awarded the "70 People Calligraphy and Painting Art Achievement Award" for the fifth influential figure of Chinese people worldwide in the 70th year of the founding of the People's Republic of China

I am currently a member of the China Artists Association, a member of the China Collectors Association, Vice Chairman of the Asian Artists Association in the United States, Visiting Professor at the Royal College of Arts Victoria in Canada, Chief Representative of the World Celebrity Cultural Exchange Federation in China, Honorary Academician of the Harvard University School of Art, and Researcher at the China International Calligraphy and Painting Art Research Association.
