Southeast Network, January 20 (This network reporter Chen Nan) this afternoon, "Fu man eight Fujian lacquer art brilliance - 2022 Chinese contemporary lacquer art invitation exhibition" opened in the Fujian Provincial Art Museum. Nearly 100 works by 38 contemporary famous lacquer artists and young lacquer artists from all over the country gathered in Rongcheng to send an artistic feast to the people of Rongcheng.

Liu Weize, deputy director of the Propaganda Department of the Fujian Provincial PARTY Committee, Sun Xiaolan, vice mayor of Fuzhou, Pi Daojian, deputy director of the Curatorial Committee of the China Artists Association and a famous critic, Zeng Zhangtuan, member of the party group and secretary general of the Fujian Provincial Federation of Literary and Art Circles, well-known artists inside and outside the province, leaders of art departments of colleges and universities, and other guests attended the opening ceremony.

According to reports, this exhibition takes the long-standing "Fu" culture as the context, and uses lacquer art as the carrier to show the artists' diversified interpretation of life. The exhibition hall design integrates the cultural element of "Fudao", a landmark in Fuzhou, so that the audience can immerse themselves in the exhibition. The works on display include paintings, lacquerware, installations, comprehensive materials and other types, and are divided into three chapters: "opening", "gathering" and "inheritance". The "Opening" chapter is composed of works by Li Zhiqing, Gao Xiuquan and other landmark figures in the history of the development of lacquer art in Mindu; the "Convergence" chapter shows the lacquer art works after the 1980s, composed of works by artists such as Chen Jinhua and Shen Kelong; the "Inheritance" chapter exhibits the works of teachers and students of Minjiang University, and the form and connotation of the works are eclectic, from Eastern and Western art to philosophical thinking, and the broad and diverse beauty is contained in it. The exhibition will run until February 15, during which a forum on "The Transformation of Chinese Contemporary Lacquer Art Morphology and Talent Training" will also be held.

The reporter learned that as one of the predecessor schools of the organizer Minjiang College, Fuzhou Arts and Crafts School is the earliest school in the country to specialize in cultivating lacquer art talents, known as the "Whampoa Military Academy" for the cultivation of talents in the field of lacquer art, and has cultivated a group of lacquer art talents with theoretical research, artistic talents and production capabilities. In 2006, minjiang university on behalf of Fuzhou city to declare the "Fuzhou lacquerware decoration technology" was included in the first batch of national intangible cultural heritage list.

The exhibition is hosted by Minjiang University, organized by Fujian Provincial Art Museum and Minjiang University Academy of Fine Arts (Zhidao International Lacquer Art Industry College), co-organized by the "Belt and Road" Lacquer Art Industry Sino-foreign People-to-People Exchange Research Institute, Fujian Lacquer Culture Industry Intangible Cultural Heritage Operation and Protection Center, and Minjiang University Chinese Lacquer Culture and Industry Research Center.
