Fan Fu'an was born in Huangshan in 1964, graduated from Hefei Normal University majoring in oil painting, successively worked in Tunxi LacquerWare Craft Factory, Provincial Handicraft Import and Export Company, Provincial Foreign Trade Economics and Latitude Advertising Design Company, established a lacquer art studio in 2005, because of nostalgia for the homeland, returned to Tunxi in 2009, concentrated on creation, lacquer art style and lacquer ancient techniques compatible, using natural lacquer, mineral pigments, lacquer powder, eggshells, screws and other raw materials, showing Huizhou themes such as Huizhou residences, Huizhou three carvings, and daily labor scenes.
