After completing his studies in France, he founded a studio to focus on the restoration of Western and Asian lacquerware, and then moved to Chongqing, China in 2009 to study lacquer art and the traditional Chinese culture and handicrafts associated with its creation.
He uses a seemingly simple but complex artistic language to be eclectic with Eastern and Western cultures, and relentlessly explores the possibility of incorporating other materials into lacquer creations. At the same time, he also tried to absorb other art forms such as printmaking, relief, collage, as well as traditional crafts such as weaving and bamboo weaving, so that his works have a rich layer and touch.
Lacquer painting was like a powerful magnet to him. He learned and learned from traditional Chinese lacquer paintings and was deeply moved by natural objects and the beauty of nature, which contain endless stories and mysteries, and he wanted to tell these stories and mysteries through his lacquer paintings. In addition to Chinese lacquer, he also widely used various natural elements such as clay, linen, silver, gold, tin, lead, shells, stones, wood, etc. A variety of texture effects are used to give the work a rich tactile feel.
