During the Shanghai Auto Show last year, BAIC Motor released a power route covering three directions of fuel, hybrid and pure electric drive, creating three major platforms of SUPER power, HEV hybrid and EV electric. Among them, the EV electric platform has been applied to Beijing-EU5, Beijing-EU7 and other models, which can guarantee the maximum torque of 800N·m and bring 1000km+ ultra-long cruising range in the future.

According to the plan, in the next three years, BAIC Motor will carry out four-wheel product upgrades through the above power route to achieve the user's all-scenario car demand, that is, the optimization, 1/4 scenario, 1/2 scenario and full-scenario products of the existing A-class sedan. At present, BAIC Motor has completed the optimization of the existing A-class sedan, and the fully upgraded BEIJING-EU5 PLUS and BEIJING-U5 PLUS have been launched and put on sale.

As a type of new energy vehicle, fuel cell vehicles are a major strategic direction for the global energy technology revolution and transformation and development. In recent years, the domestic policy on the development of hydrogen fuel cell vehicles has continued to exert efforts and achieved certain results. Relevant data show that since 2016, the sales of fuel cell vehicles in the mainland have begun to rise gradually, and by the end of 2020, the number of fuel cell vehicles in the mainland is 7,352, and the market size is about 360 billion yuan.

In this context, the mainland issued the "New Energy Vehicle Industry Development Plan (2021-2035)", which proposes to "strive to achieve commercial application of fuel cell vehicles after 15 years of continuous efforts, and the construction of hydrogen fuel supply system is steadily advancing", and the "China Hydrogen Energy and Fuel Cell Industry White Paper" shows that by 2035, a total of 1.3 million large-scale commercial promotions will be achieved, 1500 hydrogen refueling stations will be built, and the industry output value will reach 5 trillion yuan.

Among them, Foton Motor, a subsidiary of BAIC Group, has more than 50 patents related to fuel cell vehicles, fuel cell control, fuel cell thermal management, system integration, and safety monitoring. The hydrogen fuel bus serving the Winter Olympics is equipped with a new generation of fast cold start high power density fuel cell system and a rapid heating power battery system under extremely cold conditions, which can realize the extreme cold and low temperature start of minus 30 degrees Celsius, the extreme cold and low temperature storage of minus 40 degrees Celsius and the automatic protection of shutdown.
