During the war years, a number of heroes emerged, and the one who made every countryone familiar was the ten founding marshals. However, the hero always has a twilight day, from 1963 onwards, the ten generals died one after another, until 1992, the last marshal Nie Rongzhen also left us.
So, where were the loyal bones of these marshals after their deaths? Today, I will take you to understand where the ten marshals were buried after their deaths.
First of all, the first marshal to die was Luo Ronghuan. Marshal Luo Ronghuan was born in the early 20th century and was under the age of 25 when he became a communist. Since then, he has participated in many revolutions, including the famous Autumn Harvest Uprising. During the War of Resistance Against Japan, he fought bravely and led his fighters to defeat the Japanese army many times.
However, during the war, because of the harsh conditions, when the war really started, the soldiers often did not eat or rest all day. As a result, Luo Ronghuan fell kidney disease at this time, and he was in pain and covered in sweat, but Luo Ronghuan still endured the pain and personally went to the front line to direct the battle.
After the founding of the Country, Luo Ronghuan's body was weakening day by day, but the country had just been established, and there was a lot of work in front of the marshal, and he knew that he could not fall. As a result, Luo Ronghuan was admitted to the hospital to remove one kidney, but soon the kidney disease worsened again. On December 16, 1963, Luo Ronghuan, who was already in the advanced stage of kidney cancer, died of inability to treat and his ashes were buried in Babaoshan.
Six years after the death of Marshal Luo Ronghuan, that is, in 1969, the second marshal, He Long, died. Marshal He Long was born in 1896, and under the influence of Dr. Sun Yat-sen's ideas, he resolutely joined the Chinese Revolutionary Party and participated in many battles for the defense of the country. However, after the Chiang Kai-shek incident, he clearly saw the face of the Kuomintang and threw himself into the camp of our army.
After joining our party, Marshal He Long made many meritorious contributions in the war. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Marshal He Long actively participated in the mainland's national defense construction and paid attention to the development of sports.
However, during the turbulent period, He Long was persecuted by the counter-revolutionary clique, so in 1969, Marshal He Long's body and spirit could no longer withstand the blow and died of a sudden illness. After his rehabilitation, Marshal He Long was buried in the Babaoshan Cemetery, and later moved to Tianzi Mountain in Zhangjiajie with the approval of the state.
The third marshal to die was Lin Biao, born in 1907, who joined the Communist Party at the age of 18. Marshal Lin Biao was a rare military expert who was once regarded by Chairman Mao as the most suitable successor. But his life was full of controversy, especially in turbulent times.
As one of the members of the "Gang of Four", Lin Biao, many people were directly or indirectly persecuted by him, and even lost their lives. On September 13, 1971, Lin Biao, who felt dangerous, chose to flee abroad in the middle of the night by plane from Shanhaiguan, but when the plane flew over Inner Mongolia, it accidentally crashed, killing Lin Biao on the spot, and the bones were buried in the Mongolian desert where the plane crashed.
The year after Lin Biao's death, Marshal Chen Yi died of colon cancer. General Chen Yi was born in 1901, with the experience of studying in France, he resolutely joined the Communist Party after returning to China. Marshal Chen Yi was also an excellent commander and fighter, for example, the famous victory in the Battle of Meng Lianggu came from Chen Yi's hand.
After the founding of the People's Republic of China, Chen Yi struggled in the front line and worked hard for the country's economic recovery. However, day and night work will one day collapse, so in 1970, General Chen Yi was diagnosed with cancer, but he did not give up his work, and he spent almost the next two years in the hospital, but he also moved his desk to the hospital to deal with affairs while treating diseases. On January 6, 1972, Chen Yi, who had undergone many surgeries, still did not survive, passed away, and was buried in babaoshan Cemetery after his death.
The fifth marshal to die was Peng Dehuai, who was born in 1898 and joined the Communist Party at the age of 30, and was quickly reused by the organization because of his outstanding military talents. Moreover, Peng Dehuai did not disappoint the organization, and many battles were won under his command. After the founding of the People's Republic of China, he was personally appointed by Chairman Mao to lead the volunteer army into the Korean War as commander-in-chief. Therefore, in addition to the heroic battles of all the volunteers, the victory in the War to Resist US Aggression and Aid Korea also has a lot to do with Peng Dehuai's correct guidance.
However, Peng Dehuai, who concentrated on commanding the battle, ignored his own body, in fact, as early as the War of Resistance Against Japan, Peng Dehuai had a situation of urine and blood, but he did not care. It was not until later that it became more and more serious, and when Peng Dehuai was persecuted for opposing the Great Leap Forward, his body could no longer bear it. So in 1973, Peng Dehuai went to the hospital under the leadership of relevant personnel, and after examination, he found that he was already in advanced rectal cancer.
After a period of treatment, Marshal Peng Dehuai died of illness in November 1974, and his ashes were first buried in Babaoshan and then moved to other places for some reasons.
Their departure is like the fall of a giant star, which is painful and regrettable for every Chinese. However, where the bones of these marshals are buried is presumably unclear to many people.
