To say that Shanghai has attracted much attention in recent years, the Ocean Crystal Classic Tian'an Qianshu on the banks of the Suzhou River must be on the list. The overall building was personally created by thomas Heatherwick, a world-renowned architectural designer, and important landmark buildings and installations such as the British Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo, the Shanghai Fosun Art Center, the London Olympic Torch, and the Hudson Square landmark Vessel in New York were all made by him, and every time the products exploded the design world.
The project is located on the east side of Changhua Road Bridge in Suzhou, Shanghai, with a total area of 100,000 square meters, and covers many subway lines such as 3, 4 and 13. This time, Tianan Group and Thomas Heatherwick re-painted an exciting "landscape picture" on the site of the new flour mill in Fufengfu, Shanghai.

Unconventional box-shaped shopping mall
Magic Edition "Ancient Babylon Hanging Gardens"
Compared with the conventional box-shaped shopping mall, Cheonan Qianshu has a long and narrow site from top to bottom, with 400 steps and 1,000 structural columns forming a mountain-like terrace, planted with more than 1,000 green plants, which looks like a realistic version of the "Ancient Babylon Hanging Garden" from a distance, overlooking a suspended forest.
Inspired by Huangshan Mountain, the entire building draws on the undulating mountain terrain to outline the complex, forming a hill surrounded by greenery. Streamlined paths, high and low greenery, open terraces ··· Blurring the boundaries between architecture, gardens and landscapes, landscapes and landscapes blend together, all natural beauty.
The building's façade resembles two peaks and is designed for retail, office, dining, galleries and other public spaces. Heatherwick jumped out of the limitation of "architecture is only architecture", and its "three-dimensional greening" that rose layer by layer in the project not only eliminated the boundaries between architecture and landscape, but also enriched the urban landscape along the Suzhou Creek.
The stepped design adopted by Cheonan Qianshu greatly reduces the density between it and the surrounding residential and natural landscapes, and improves the comfort of the surrounding environment.
The potted columns are rounded columns, and the surface of the columns adopts an undulating corrugated design, and the concave and convex surfaces of the ring are interlaced and integrated. The settings are repeated over the columns and the flower beds as a whole, creating a changing, seemingly random surface. Horizontal stripes are accentuated, reminiscent of multi-layered sedimentary rocks.
The old bell tower of the flour mill in this tower, the designers have preserved and innovated the main elements and converted it into a sightseeing elevator in the mall. Natural rustboard decoration changes color over time, and different colors appear under the sunlight at different times.
The "steep" façade is a whole "art giant curtain wall", inviting 16 artists from all over the world to paint graffiti exclusively, and keep their works permanently on the exterior wall of the building, paying special tribute to the "graffiti tradition" on Moganshan Road.
The internal space of the project is still very clean. The characteristic life pillar that connects the entire mall resembles the roots of a tree, and runs through it steadily, with a forest color of the future. In addition, the pillar of life also contains a rainfall sensor, which realizes the function of intelligent irrigation for external plants, with a pioneering environmental protection concept.
Although there are hundreds of life pillars in the mall, the structure seems intricate, but the shopping routes on each floor are as simple and clear as an open shopping street.
All the escalators inside are made of imported high-end "GRG composite glass fiber reinforced gypsum board" material, which is poured and formed at one time, which is very strong, and has the double standard of aesthetics and spatial integration.
The multi-node circulation planning allows visitors to enter the mall at different entrances, and there is a multiple sense of surprise to explore.
Inside the mall, there is also a space where the sunset echoes the sunrise, and the orange-red sunset light tone is integrated with the transparent glass roof, which is matched with the green plants of the mall's "Tree in the Sky" to create a natural artistic atmosphere space.
It is also worth mentioning the 3 giant art elevator shafts in the mall, and the works of art specially created by three contemporary artists are displayed in the form of giant paintings behind the transparent elevators, allowing people to have a short elevator trip and enjoy a mobile visual feast.
The "Kunpeng" that skillfully displays the image of Chinese mythology with graffiti techniques, the colorful "Patio" stacked with bright colors and three-dimensional geometric patterns, and the "growth" of the growth process of the King of the Hundred Beasts in the form of ink paintings, each of which has a moving magic.

Sought-after artist, 14 masterpieces of sculpture

At the same time, there are also sculptures of Huang Yulong, a world parallel to the Hiphop culture. Each sculptural figure wearing a hoodie without facial expression belongs to his distinct creative style.
