It is not an exaggeration to describe this internet celebrity magic building with the attention of all.
From the air of Moganshan Road, 400 terraces + more than 1,000 trees look like a suspended forest from the air. The terrace of the high-rise building is full of green plants, which is called the "Ancient Babylon Hanging Garden" by netizens.

Maybe everyone doesn't know much about Thomas, but the 30-year-old is known as the "new Leonardo da Vinci", the 39-year-old defeated the architectural witch Zaha Hardy and other design tycoons to become the designer of the British Pavilion at the Shanghai World Expo; the 41-year-old took charge of the design of the London Olympic Torch... This time, on the basis of Chinese culture and local characteristics, he realized innovation in construction technology and techniques, bringing different urban scenery to the Suzhou River and even Shanghai.
Inspired by the Huangshan Mountains, the entire building draws on the undulating and smooth mountain terrain to outline the complex, forming a hill surrounded by greenery.
Its most eye-catching highlight is the national industrial relics in a total of 59,000 square meters of land.
At that time, when the developer Tianan Group took the land, it did not know that there were protected buildings on the plot. Until 2004, the relevant departments clarified that the former site of Fuxin Flour Mill and the old site of Fufeng Machine Flour Factory on the plot belonged to the third batch of outstanding historical buildings in Shanghai, and later this plot was also included in the first batch of China's industrial heritage protection list. The property rights of the old building belong to the Tianan Group, and the responsibility for repair and maintenance also falls on the shoulders of the enterprise.
This means that the old buildings in the plot can not be demolished, but must be repaired as old, and the new building must make room for the old building.
"At that time, we had no experience, and for a while we didn't know how to deal with the relationship between the old and new buildings." The project leader admits that the deeper the study of the old building, the more he feels the extraordinary value of conservation and remodeling.
"The first draft of the architectural design plan is more traditional and not attractive enough, so it was decided to overturn the original design, invited the 'ghost talent' designer to start a new stove, fully combine the landscape along the Suzhou River, and fully display the historical features of the old building."
After its completion, the Qianshu trees of Tian'an have also been very well protected for the relics of the national industry. The former Fufeng Machine Flour Mill factory building, office building, the former Fuxin Flour Factory small package flour warehouse and ear room, in a new way have been reshaped and remembered.
At present, the 4 old buildings that have been restored are vicissitudes and upright, quietly waiting to be reunited with people.
The most striking is the four-storey Fufeng Machine Flour Mill Factory, which was built in the 24th year of Guangxu in the Qing Dynasty (1898), which was once the largest and best-equipped machine flour mill in the Far East at that time, and still retains the charm of Western classical architecture. "In the future, this building may introduce high-end catering, so that people can go inside and visit the consumption."
The Fufeng Machine Flour Mill Office Building is a two-story brick and wood building with Baroque decoration that will be enclosed by the newly built Cheonan Qianshu Phase II building to become the center of the atrium.
Next to the river is the two-story building of Fuxin Flour Mill, which will set up an exhibition hall to show the development history and transformation process of the flour mill.
Even the old bell tower tower of the tower flour mill has also been transformed into a sightseeing elevator for the mall, retaining the natural rust plate decoration, the color will change with time, and the sunlight at different times will also show different colors.

Thomas used the eyes of an "outsider" to examine Chinese culture and built this unique building with the "craftsman spirit" of creating works of art. To some extent, let some blindly charming domestic designers shame.
