According to the data released by the Association of Passenger Vehicles a few days ago, the cumulative retail sales of the domestic SUV market in 2021 will be 9.221 million units, an increase of 3.0% year-on-year. According to the data, there are five SUV models that will sell more than 200,000 units in 2021. Among them, haval H6 annual sales of 352,900 units, won the annual sales of SUV champions, down 3.2% year-on-year. Changan CS75 ranked second, with annual sales of 274,700 units, an increase of 4.8% year-on-year.
The Honda CR-V and Toyota RAV4 ranked third and fourth, with sales of 222,300 units and 203,400 units, respectively. Honda CR-V, the 2020 joint venture SUV sales champion, fell 8.5% in 2021 sales, but still won the annual sales championship of the joint venture SUV.
The fifth and sixth-ranked SUVs are both from their own brands, BYD Song and Geely Boyue, with sales of 201,700 units and 191,500 units, respectively. As an independent brand, Changan CS55 ranked fifteenth with sales of 137,000 vehicles.
Honda has a total of four models on the list, in addition to the Honda CR-V, Honda XR-V, Honda Binzhi and Honda Haoying all entered the top fifteen of the annual SUV sales. Among them, XR-V sold 191,500 units, Binzhi sold 167,800 vehicles, and Haoying sold 162,800 units.
Among luxury brands, Tesla Model Y sold 169,900 units, ranking ninth; BMW X3 sold 149,700 units, ranking thirteenth; and Audi Q5L sold 139,900 units, ranking fourteenth.
Other models on the list include: Volkswagen Tiguan L sales of 185,900 units, down 0.9% year-on-year, and Nissan Qashqai sold 161,200 units, up 2.2% year-on-year. (Source/Multiplying Association)
