In 1959, for the first time, New China pardoned a number of Kuomintang war criminals, including Qiu Xingxiang, who was known as "Little Chiang Kai-shek." He is a well-known "Hercules", in the reform office he often rushed to do heavy work, in the face of ten years of transformation life, completely decoupled from society, although he got the amnesty, in the face of the new life, everyone who was pardoned thought that he would only be able to do some physical work in the future, Qiu Xingxiang because of his strength, ready to go out and become a porter.

December 4, 1959, was a day that Qiu Xingxiang would never forget. He was pardoned along with Du Yuming, Wang Yaowu, Chen Changjie, and 10 other Kuomintang war criminals. Holding the amnesty card, he shed tears of excitement and looked at the certificate of his freedom over and over again.
In prison, he was obsessed with nearly becoming his bride's fiancée. After he was released from prison, what he longed for most was to find this fiancée, but he could no longer find the beautiful fiancée, and this beautiful woman was estimated to have already been hugged by the flute and the green leaves were full of branches.
Born in 1907 in Liyang, Jiangsu Province, Qiu Xingxiang was admitted to the 5th Infantry Section of the Whampoa Military Academy at the age of 18, and became a general at the age of 35, and was the backbone general of the Whampoa department and the civil engineering department. In 1946, he played a great role in the Battle of Siping in northeast China, and was praised by Chiang Kai-shek as Qiu Laohu.
After the outbreak of the War of Resistance Against Japan, he participated in the Battle of Songhu, the Battle of Nanjing, the Battle of Wuhan, and the Battle of Western Hubei.
When he was at the Whampoa Military Academy, Chiang Kai-shek paid special attention to him and said to the others: "Qiu Xingxiang is a model student of Huangpu, and in the future he must be a model general and a model for everyone." ”
Chiang Kai-shek did not take a fancy to Qiu Xingxiang, who at all times always firmly said that he would be loyal to the headmaster, Chiang Kai-shek. He not only stubbornly loyally and admired Chiang Kai-shek, but also emulated Chiang Kai-shek in the details of his life. Chiang Kai-shek does not smoke or drink, nor does he smoke alcohol; Chiang Kai-shek always shaves his head, and he never leaves his hair; Chiang Kai-shek always walks with a straight waist and does not smile, and he rarely shows a smile; Chiang Kai-shek likes to wear a large black coat, and he also deliberately makes two pieces, often wearing a black trunk. Therefore, he was given the nickname "Little Chiang Kai-shek".
Chiang Kai-shek liked such a loyal person, and repeatedly promoted him to a knight. Not only Did Chiang Kai-shek like him, but even Chiang Ching-kuo liked him. Once, on the way back from meeting Chiang Kai-shek, he happened to meet Chiang Ching-kuo, and Grand Duke Chiang quickly invited him to the car, set up a banquet, filled the table with delicious food, and personally poured wine for him. At this time, Qiu Xingxiang was 41 years old and a bachelor (he had a wife many years ago, died of illness soon after, and has never married), so before going to Luoyang, Jiang Jingguo specially introduced a very beautiful girlfriend to her. Qiu Xingxiang was moved to tears and repeatedly expressed his pledge of allegiance to the party-state to the death.
Qiu Xingxiang, who has been single for many years, has a deep affection for his beautiful girlfriend in Nanjing and is preparing to get married, but Chiang Kai-shek let him defend Luoyang, and the marriage was delayed. When he went to Luoyang, the beautiful fiancée also said to him, I am waiting for you in Stone City, waiting for you to return victoriously. However, he was captured by the People's Liberation Army on this trip, and the person who was waiting for him was nowhere to be found.
Qiu Qingquan was already 52 years old and more than half a hundred years old when he was pardoned, and he was originally ready to spend his life alone as a porter. However, under the attention of the organization, all the war criminals were arranged to become commissioners of literature and history and state civil servants, which deeply touched them. Qiu Xingxiang not only regained his new life, but also was arranged to return to his hometown in Jiangsu to become a commissioner of literature and history, and also served as a member of the Fifth and Sixth CPPCC Committees of Jiangsu Province. After returning to Jiangsu Province for two years, with the help of the organization, Qiu Xingxiang married a beautiful wife, qiu Xingxiang was 54 years old at this time, but his wife had just turned 30.
Qiu Xingxiang's former old comrade-in-arms congratulated him: "The elder brother dreamed of marrying a beautiful daughter-in-law, and now he has finally got what he wants." ”
What was even more gratifying to Qiu Xingxiang was that it didn't take long for his wife to give birth to a boy for him. His family was very complete, living to 1996 in one breath, which was a very perfect ending among the Kuomintang generals.
