Blue Whale TMT Channel, January 18, China Academy of Information and Communications Technology data show that in 2021, the overall shipment volume of the domestic mobile phone market accumulated 351 million units, an increase of 13.9% year-on-year, of which 5G mobile phone shipments were 266 million units, an increase of 53.5% year-on-year, accounting for 75.9% of mobile phone shipments in the same period.
Among them, the shipment volume of domestic brand mobile phones totaled 304 million units, an increase of 12.6% year-on-year, accounting for 86.6% of mobile phone shipments in the same period; the total number of listed new models was 438, an increase of 6.3% year-on-year, accounting for 90.7% of the number of new mobile phone models listed in the same period.
In the whole year of 2021, a total of 483 new models were listed, an increase of 4.3% year-on-year, of which 227 were 5G mobile phones, an increase of 0.9% year-on-year, accounting for 47%. Among them, a total of 404 new models of smart phones were listed, an increase of 11% year-on-year, accounting for 83.6% of the number of new models listed in the same period.
